When is it time to give up on those high(er) draft picks (1 Viewer)

A bad week or 2 is one thing but when do you feel it's time to bail on guys who are supposed to be producing for those who are and can be had on WW or via trade ie the infamous "sell low" -

For ex -

Bulger

Bush

T Jones

Benson

Drew

McNabb

etc

in a league with a short bench i'm thinking about dropping bulger... but i keep thinking he is going to turn it around...

might want to hold onto bush. i sense a few more touches coming up in the next few games

Now that Bush is 'da man' in NO, I'd hold on to him to see what he can do. He may flop, but maybe not. Plus, at least for now, he's not in a true RBBC situation like when Deuce was there.

Lee Evans wasn't a real high draft pick for me, but was drafted high enough as my second WR behind (or along side) Donald Driver. I knew the first few weeks were going to be rough, and benched him against NE because Shaun McDonald had a good matchup with Megatron out. I put him back in this last week because of the good matchup, but I'm toying with giving up on the headache all together and just letting him rot on my bench. Yeah he had a good amount of receptions but still didn't look stellar against a very suspect Jets D.

We start 4 of either 3 WR and 1 TE or 2 WR and 2 TE, and I have Driver, Witten, and Gates, so I can rely on Shaun McDonald or Bernard Berrian as my 4th and just watch Evans blow up every week that he is not in my lineup. He might be worth trade bait when that happens I guess.

Currently trying to work out a trade with the guy that has Reggie Wayne (he is all banged up at RB), so Evans might just be a moot point from here on out anyways.

Likewise. I think Bush will turn it around though.Guys like Benson or Jones, despite me not being surprised at them sucking, I still wouldn't give up on ie "give away" in a trade (and certainly not drop).

I dumped Bulger in a 10 teamer.

Bulger - crap

Bush - still has high value

T Jones - do not sell low...i think he will turn it around

Benson - total crap. can't drop him though as long as he is getting carries

Drew - wait. just a matter of time before he gets his or taylor is hurt

McNabb - ugh. last week was the time to trade him if you were going to. i don't know. if westy is out for a while, he's crap.

BR is a smart guy

Now seriously...LOL

How in the world can you put Reggie Bush on that list???

He is coming off the bye, and is in a completly different situation now than he has been for the start of the season.

Deuce was the problem there...when Reggie has Ran without Deuce....1/2 of a game at the most..

He has done very well without Deuce to this point and will continue to do so.

Some times it pays to watch a game or too, rather than just a stat line.

Hold Bush. He is about to earn his paycheck.

Not sure Bulger is crap.. he's lost 5, count em 5 offensive lineman.. plus his leading receptions leader and #2 target, and outlet in SJax. Ike Bruce went down. So let's be clear that his fantasy prospects don't look good. Drop him in NWE ... and me thinks he's Top 5 easy. nuff said.Let's see how 3/4 of other QBs do with similar circumstances... .i.e. take away LT2, and 3/4 of the Charger o-line and see how good Rivers is... aaaaahhhh sheeeeet, bad analogy.

Very well put... but we'll keep it a secret. Those who recognize talent (not saying Bush is/isn't) but realize they are hangin on to something good. ....get rewarded.
