I'll be fine with Brady/Brees/Newton in the 2nd, Gates/Graham 3rd, top rb 1st(AP, Rice, Foster, Shady) if I have a top 5 draft position.

If I'm 6th pick or later Rodgers and Gronk is the way to go.

Depends on the size of the league. It's not as if your entire league has to pass on him in 2nd round, just half of it does. I think a lot of people will be scared off by the idea of taking a TE in the 2nd round.
37% of the voters in this poll would take him early 2nd or earlier. So, as long as your league has 3 teams, this poll would suggest he's gone my mid 2nd. Of course, most leagues have more than 3 teams. It only takes one Sigmund Bloom for him to be gone in the top 5. Assuming a 12-team league, one owner accounts for 8.3% of the draft slots. So, wherever the highest slot is for where 8.3% of the people would draft him, that's where I'd expect him to go. Right now, 4.1% say top 5 and another 8.2% say 6-10 ("top 10" in this poll). So, I'd guess we hit 8.3% somewhere in the 6-8 range. As of now, he's going in the first round. Of course, nobody is holding their 2012 draft right now. And, as always happens with fantasy football, we're having this discussion after he exploded for the best game of his career. Everyone's seen the highlights of him breaking tackles along the sideline and picking up 49 yards then scoring on the next play. Everyone's seen the highlight of him shedding Ryan Kerrigan like a little kid. This is what we do. We go crazy at the peaks and valleys. Attitudes could be slightly different by next August.

I didn't mean to suggest he'd suck in 2012. Not sure how I got painted into that corner; I guess because everyone needs every argument to have only two sides. I was just saying I don't think he'll perform at a level that would be first round value in most leagues. That's all.

I did start to wonder if maybe the perceived anti-Gronk posts were a result of someone who got bounced from his FF playoffs thanks to Gronk the Great's 6-160, 2TD performance.

:goodposting: taking a TE in the first two rounds goes against FF orthodoxy, so you may see him fall to you there.... if not, Rodgers/Graham may do just as well...
