Where did you find your dynasty league? (1 Viewer)

I am curious as to where people found their dynasty leagues that are in one. Yes, I have been looking for one for about a month now, but I figure that answers in this thread may help others like myself that are good owners that are looking for a league home. There isn't much activity in the Looking for Leagues forum.

There will be some activity there soon...also might want to hop over to the mock draft forum where the SSL is taking place...4 leagues of 16 owners, I'm sure you can find some guys in there that want to form a league.

What type of lagues do you play in? SOme folks are IDP all the way, others won't go near a league like that. Some like best ball, others have to be in leagues where they fill out starting rosters.

Good Luck, and I hope the mods allow this to stay because I also think we don't get enough good owners together sometimes.

I usually get a very nice PM from someone and then go form there as to whether I will look at the league or not.

Well, I have been reading postings on this forum... I noticed that there were debates about QB scoring in one of them.

I personally like 6 pts for TDs/25 yards for 1 point because it does separate the top end from the baseline and provide more strategy. I think that QBs are too clustered with 4 pts /20 yards for a 1 pt and allows for luck involvement.

I have seen some IDPs posted over there, and I am not into that for various reasons, but I know it is the primary way dynasties are setup. I just thought I would get advice on places to look that are well traveled areas for good FF players. Just looking for advice to see a number of leagues with a variety of setup.

Unfortunately for you, a lot of the new startup dynasties out there are IDP.

I've been playing dynasty for a while, offensive players only in the beginning and full IDP only lately. I can tell you that the avg GM in a dynasty IDP league is head and shoulders above the avg GM in regular dynasty leagues I've played in. If you don't like what you see out there, start your own league.

But give IDP a shot. If you are playing with the right owners in a well thought out scoring system, you will truly enjoy the league. I can t go back to non IDP leagues anymore (or non-auction, with no salary cap,etc...)

Now is the time. Starting dynasty drafts in the summer is difficult with vacations knocking people out for weeks.

Hard to imagine that you can do better than Mike's leagues. I think we usually start drafting in early August for the slow drafts.
