Where do I complain about the roughing the passer penalties (1 Viewer)

You can't pick up a QB and drive him into the ground. Whether you agree with the rule or not it's been around for awhile and the players are all aware of it. If Harrison still can't figure it out then that's on him. The refs made the right call.
Are you watching the same video as everyone else? The one where Harrison hits Campbell and he falls backwards? No picking up, no driving him inot the ground, just a perfect form tackle?

Just cannot get behind the movement.

You have coal miners making 19K a year getting trapped underground. You have police officers getting shot in the line of duty. These guys make millions and they know the risks going in. The only ones I feel bad for are the parents of someone who was hurt in the game.

Again, these guys know the risks.

To quote the Bad News Bears in Breaking Training ..... "Let them Play, Let them Play".

I feel for the Steeler fans. Wish I had all these guys in Charlotte.

That columnist lost me on the fifth word when he called one guy hitting another guy wearing a helmet a "sucker-punch".

The only thing the Steelers are being targeted for is the Super Bowl. Apparently the NFL wants to see a rapist win a championship because they kiss Big Ben's butt every game. Seymour was right to punch him. When you push your way through a crowd of guys to talk trash then you deserve to take the beatdown you get. Seymour should have been ejected no question, but Ben should have been flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct for causing the whole thing. Again, it is one thing if you say something when you are passing someone on the field, but to run up intentionally to be an idiot deserves a punch to the face and a knee to the groin. I think little Benny got off easy.

"I apologize to my teammates," Seymour said afterward. "I never want to do anything to hurt the team. You always want to protect yourself, but there's no excuse. ... I'm not sure why he [Roethlisberger] ran up on me. I just turned around and it was a natural reaction."

Seymour said he doesn't remember Roethlisberger saying anything to him.

:goodposting:

Of course. That's a perfectly natural reaction.

Terrible calls...Goodell should start getting some pressure to back off...the masses do not like.
Hopefully Polamalu's comments from a few weeks ago regarding the Commissioner having too much power in these situations etc., will result in something being done via the CBA.Goodell inherited a sport clicking on all cylinders and he is overstepping his bounds and ruining a great thing. Instead of penalizing players for playing the game the way it's been played for generations because you're worried about injuries (allegedly - they just want higher scoring games because the casual fan enjoys points), why don't you agree to fund the pension and health-care for those retired players who didn't get to make the millions? Goodell is a hypocrite.

He lifts his legs up and drives him to the ground. I don't like the rule. I actually think the NFL has gone overboard on their protection of the QB. It's not like the QBs stand still to get tackled and some of them are quite big. That's the rule though. You can clearly see him do it.

 makes sense now

That's pretty much the definition of "tackle". That's not a penalty. If it were, you could never tackle a quarterback. If you're standing up, lift and drive him to the ground (see Vince Young, earlier in the year) that's a "picking him up and driving him to the ground" penalty.
