Where do you slot Tim Tebow now? (1 Viewer)

I have no idea how people are trusting him as a starter. I see a lot of 7-10 rankings on a guy that you are basically banking on garbage time points. He can do absolutely nothing against a defense that isn't playing prevent and is bringing pressure.

In my league (25 pass yds/pt, 10 rush yds/pt, 6 pts/TD, -1pt/sack), Tebow is QB11 since becoming a starter in week 5. I'd say that's about right for RoY, as long as he's starting. And he's only going to improve as long as he gets playing time.
He didn't become a starter until week 7.He's regressed with each game he's played.

He's as bad a QB as this league has ever seen and unless you're playing in a 32 team league, he's unrosterable.
Lol. Here's a typical Tebow game, and I'm being pretty conservative:175 pass yds, 50 rush yds, 1.5 total TDs, 1 pick

That awful game makes for a top 10 QB line in standard scoring leagues.
Laugh all you want. The real joke will be on anyone starting him, in real life or FF
You do understand how fantasy football works. The more points a player scores, the better it is for your team. Even in these terrible real football weeks, he is a top 10 fantasy scoring QB. Points are more heavily weighted towards rushing, and Tebow is one of the few QB's good at running.
In my league which has bonuses for passing yards starting at 250, he was ranked 21st among QBs for week 8, beating out Feeley, Gabbert, Kolb, Beck, and Moore. He posted about half the points he got in week 7, which everyone agrees he only got because of getting an onside kick.

Moreover, the Lions just handed the rest of the league the blueprint to beating him, not that the league really needed it.

I dropped him like he's hot this morning for Bradford and I have 0 regrets about that. Tebow had his shot, he failed miserably, and if the Broncos want to give him one more fine, but I am not expecting him to get it in one week. Everything that was said about him in camp turned out to be true, and while his running does give him some fantasy value, starting him is killing the Broncos and soon they will have to call a close to the experiment and put Quinn out there.

I expect that to happen after sack 5 in the first half this Sunday.

Great point! From a "fantasy" perspective, this is the best you can hope for; Bronco's get crushed week in and week out, Tebow flubs around and gets 4-5 points thru 3 quarters, and then bangs out 20 points in the 4th quarter against defensive scrubs. Question is, are the Bronco's willing to tank the season just to "see what they've got" in Tebow? Which really translates to, "We're aiming for 2012 and Andrew Luck."My guess is that this Sunday is Tebow's last "start" as an NFL QB and will settle back into the "package play" QB and TD vulture. In a redraft league, hope that he squeezes 20-30 fantasy points out in another blowout loss and trade him if you can. In dynasty leagues I guess it's up to you... maybe he'll resurface down the road as some sort of hybrid TE/WR/RB/QB that "may line up at any position" on the field and becomes this crazy offensive quadruple-threat like the NFL has never seen before.

If he wants to stay in the NFL he needs to transition to TE just like the draft gurus told him. He would make a pretty exceptional TE if he focused on that completely for an offseason. Not sure his pride will let him do that though.

I suspect Tebow was used by many of the Brady/Rodgers owners, and maybe this week the Stafford owners are taking a shot on him. But his trade value is non-existent based on fears that he wont be a starter for long. Tebow is going to be readily available on waivers soon because he just isn't worth rostering if you drafted a QB1. I could see Tebow being rostered on fantasy teams that have weak QB's that are looking for lightning in a bottle performances from him. But to answer the question, short term value is still around QB15-20. Not bad. But if you don't plan on using him now, you're better off dumping him now before the carriage turns back to a pumpkin.
