I would try to package 3rds to move up into the 2nd. Hard to roster 10 draft picks, especially 3-5th rounders. Try to move Brees, you may get low balled because you're pretty obviously rebuilding. Maybe brees and a couple thirds gets you into the first, but I'd take anything. Take a stance on your tes, carry 3 or maybe 4 with the roster size, but use those spots for wr/rb flyers. Shop woodhead and djax. Keep your 2018 draft intact and try to add to it. Maybe move 3rds for 2018 2nd or even 3rd and kick some of that equity down the road where you can maybe roster the pick. Lots of work to do here.

I would offer Howard and anyone else on the roster for 2018 1sts. Obviously it would have to be value for that player.  But you need to rebuild. Those picks will never be cheaper than now.  Howard may get you the 7 or 8 pick this year and a first next.  T Williams and some thirds might get a first next year.

Build around something, Howard would be that piece for me. Unless you get a great offer I'd keep him and build.

By the time you are competitive Howard will be old by Rb standards. You need pieces now not players. That also helps your chances with you pick being better. Just two different opinions.

The plan should be to cut or trade and non starter players that are over 25. Make space for young players.

Keep Brees and Glennon (just because this seems like a QB hoarding league and Glennon is a starter).

Keep Witten and Higbee. Move the rest.

Move Lockett, Rishard, DJax, Beasley, Nelson

Keep Howard, Crowell, Jackson, Smallwood and Williams. Move the rest.

Also, look to package picks and players for better picks. DJax plus a 4th for a 2nd or whatever.

You want to only carry 2-3 QBs. 3-4 TEs. And personally, these are the only two spots I carry back ups. RBs and WRs are either starters or lotto tickets.
