Where is the anger for the Falcons running the score DOWN? (1 Viewer)

I'd have to agree. All signs point to the Falcons tanking it this year to get Petrino's golden boy in the draft next year. Releasing Grady Jackson? Sticking with Harrington for so long? Not starting Norwood? It is clear Petrino either doesn't know what he's doing or he's doing a poor job disguising his intentions.

And his choices were? He pulled him in the TEN game, and Leftwich stunk it up worse. Now Lefty's doing what he does best, healing, and we're back to Joey. You'd prefer Redman? Now Norwood, you need to review the 10 other threads cataloging the frutrations with him not starting him.

When they realized they'd be without Vick, at least pursue other options than deeming Harrington your go-to guy. It is almost like Petrino rubbed his hands together in glee while thinking "Perfect! Now I can set my evil plan into action."

Not buying it. Grady Jackson is well known as a problem child. And he had no choice to go with Joey - what else was he doing to do? Put in Leftwich with zero knowledge of the offense?

Hey EdwardCat,I think you must have Petrino confused with Rich McKay, the General manager of the Falcons who makes all the personnel decisions & decides when it is, or isn't time to go after another QB.

And to be fair to McKay for not going after another QB earlier than he did when he finally signed Leftwich. McKay wanted Derek Anderson & figured he'd shake loose from the Browns. He did call it that the Browns would move a QB, but it turns out he lost that waiting game gamble when it was Frye who got the boot from Cleveland & not Anderson.

Grady Jackson getting cut happened for two reasons.#1) Rod Coleman, a better D'lineman than Grady, is coming back from injury & roster room had to be made for him.#2) There's also behind the scenes political motivation.

Jackson filed a lawsuit against the team in the offseason, claiming defamation and invasion of privacy caused by the release of his medical records. Jackson claimed the release of the report that he failed a physical last summer hurt his value as a free agent. The two sides settled before training camp.

Interesting, I hadn't heard that. I was advocating for Anderson in the pre-season. Why, tho, would you wait for something like that? They probably could have had him for a 5th or 6th round pick at the time. Do you know if any offers were actually made?
