Where would Colston go if the NFL draft was tomorrow? (1 Viewer)

Bush critics aside, he would have won them at least one more game than they've won so far.

Which game would that be?The 14 point loss to Philadelphia?The 19 point loss to Indy?The 16 point loss to Washington?The 28 point loss to Dallas?The loss to Tennessee where they were down 18 before garbage time?Or the loss to the Giants where Mario Williams dominated the line of scrimmage and held the Giants to their lowest point total all year?

Washington?Bush can do alot of things that can change the landscape of a game. Not saying they would be a great or even above average team right now... but he has been and is going to be more of an impact player than Mario Williams when all is said and done.

I posted this in another thread this morning:Chris Landry, Fox Sport Radio's expert (who actually watches film) - says that Reggie Bush really opens up the offense for Colston. I respect his opinion - he doesn't hype players to hype players. Other 1st round rookies that he thinks are doing really well (at least those that aren't hurt):Tamba Hali (sorry about the spelling, Chief fans) ("Should have been drafted much higher")Maroney ("Oustanding")Nick Mangold ("Among the best 1st round picks in the draft")Addai ("Doing very well")

Exactly how does R. Bush help Colston make incredible catches like he has been snagging. Against TB Colston was well covered throughout the game, but Brees put the ball excatly where only Colston could get it and he made the play. I guess Bush helps motivate Colston?

While I understand that defenses gameplan for Bush, it isn't like Bush, Brees and probably Colston are going anywhere else in the foreseeable future.Is this play action fake thing a new play that the Saints introduced just for Reggie Bush? I don't think I have ever heard of it, or at least I have never seen an NFL team be successful with it in the past. As I recall, I believe Johnny Wokenfuss of FOX News said on Sunday that not one previous play action fake in the history of the NFL was successful since no LB/Safety had ever bit on one before Reggie Bush. He analyzed every play and said that Colston would only have 3 receptions for 32 yards if the Saints had taken DeBrickshaw Ferguson instead of Bush. He said point blank that a play action fake to Deuce McAllister would not work.

I'm guessing you haven't seen many Saints games. It's not the play fake, but when they swing Bush out on pass routes that the defense cheats toward Bush and it leaves Colston in single coverage. There are numerous times when Bush will swing to the flat and draw two defenders and Brees will hit Colston, or Horn or whoever over the top. I'm not sure why NFL DC's are still building their game plans around Bush, but they are and it doesn't have to do with play action.

Nope, not many at all. I am just reacting to other posts I read that said that all 3 TD passes were on play fakes to Bush this week. It just annoys me to hear so much credit for Colston going to Bush almost as if Bush's existence is being justified. You didn't hear all the credit for Antonio Gates last year going to LT. I don't care if Bush is the main person on the DC's mind, because all this Bush talk is just belittling what "statistically" is on pace for the best rookie year by a WR in NFL history. Of course Bush is on the DC's mind in the passing game. As of Week 8, Bush had 43 receptions to Colston's 33.As far as FF, I am an owner of Colston and because Bush, McAlister and Brees are all in the first and second (McAlister) years of new contracts, I think Colston will be good for a while. I know the whole, back loaded contract thing, but for the next 3 or 4 years, I can't see the Saints breaking up a good thing when the salary cap hits would be pretty high. If all of them stay together here's to threads in 4 years where people are #####ing about Colston's pro bowl appearances and saying Bush deserves them for what he does for Colson.

No way he would have gotten past the Chiefs. They were (and still are) in need of a stud WR because Kenninson is getting up there in age. Hali was a good pick but if they knew they could get a great WR, they'd take him.

I like this top 10 a lot, but why flip flop Williams and Bush? Mario is actually playing pretty well and was disruptive against the Giants. I don't think Reggie has done anything to change the minds of the Texans front office.

Not only will Bush put butts in the seats and energixze the Texans, but remember. While the draft was going on D. Davis was still the main guy in Houston. If they knew what they did now with Davis on the IR, you think they would have still passed on Bush.The only argument I can see is Bush would not fit Kubiak's (Denver's) RB philosophy in a cheap rental RBBC.
