Where's TO going in your re-draft? (1 Viewer)

IF, and that's the usual IF, TO has a TO-like season, paired with one of the big 3 RBs AND either another great WR from the 2nd (say, a Moldin, or heaven to think, a Moss), that team should just be handed the championship.
You would think this is true, but I was in a draft this past weekend in a league run by my brother-in-law, and the guy drafting #1 had great picks in the first three rounds but then completely butchered the rest of them.League starts 1QB/2RB/2WR/1TE + 1RB/WR flex1.01 LT2.12 TO3.01 Moss4.12 Vick5.01 CrumplerBetween 5.01 and 6.12, the following RB went off the board: Gore, MBell, Lundy, CTaylor, Addai, TBell, Westbrook, FTaylor6.12 AGreen7.01 KennisonBetween 7.01 and 8.12, the following RB went off the board: DWilliams, Maroney, Henry, Rhodes, Norwood, Barlow8.12 Bledsoe9.01 LColes10.12 Wilford11.01 Cedric Houstonand so on......
Westbrook was around in the 4th round???This could be a great strategy if you go with 2 RBs at the 4-5 turn!!
I don't know what people were thinking. I got Westbrook in the 6th round - this is my second year in this league and there are some truly clueless people in it. I thought there were a couple of reasonably smart people but this year's draft pretty much put that idea to rest.

That's actually really the question when you're drafting from the #1 or #2 slots. You're going to get LJ or SA or LT2.

And the 2/3 turn, there is a VERY good chance that you could take both Moss AND Owens if you want.

That's the Big Stones pick. That's a league ender. You could draft blind the rest of the way, and still be a devastating team.

OR, one or both those guys could implode, and your team will collapse right along.

BIG, BIG STONES pick.

I'm leaning strongly towards doing that if I can. It's scary, but you play to win, and if that tandem of Moss and Owens plays only 80% of their potential, along with SA or LT2, that's a scary, scary team.
Exactly correct. And I didn't have the stones to do it... Took TO at 2.11 (I actually wanted to take Boldin, but my partner wanted to swing for the fences with TO). Moss was available at 3.02, but we just couldn't pull the trigger (our draft also took place during the preseason when Brooks' rubber arm was actually looking more like silly putty, so Moss looked risky on multiple fronts (injury risk and Brooks suckitude). So instead the core is LJ, TO, Chambers...
I don't think Chambers instead of Moss is too bad. My only real hesitation with both Moss and TO is that both are such volatile players. It seems like it makes more sense to pair either Moss or Owens with a more reliable WR like a Boldin or a Harrison if you can.
Agree completely. Which is part of the reason I advocated for Boldin at 2.11 (figuring either TO or Moss would be there at 3.02). Alas, I only chipped in 20% of the $500 entry, so my partner has ultimate veto power...

That is what I did...12 teamer standard scoringWent LJ at #1 and then Holt and TO around the turn (couldn't believe Holt was there...then went T. Taylor Rueben Droughns at the 4/5 turn. Rounded out my receivers with scrubs like Matt Jones, Muhammed, Coles, and Williamson.Oh and I have to start the Snake at QB.
