Lousy Attention Whore
Only select the games that you think the Bengals are likely to win. In other words, if you were laying down five bucks a game and bragging rights were at stake, would you actually pick this team to win?

The poll doesn't work if no votes are tallied for a question, so I included the last options for each one. Please only select it if you feel it truly applies.

Feel free to post your win total and/or what games you've selected for them.

I might be a little optimistic, but I think 9-7 is definitely possible. A win against PIT could be the difference in the division, since I have PIT at 10-6 this year.

Wins - @BAL, TEN, CLE, @NYJ, @HOU, PHI, BAL, WAS, KC

Losses - @NYG, @DAL, PIT, JAX, @PIT, @IND, @CLE

The AFC North has tough schedules this season, especially Pittsburgh. While the Steelers have to play the Chargers and the Patriots, the Bengals have the Chiefs and Jets. The Bengals were a mess last season but if they do well against the AFC North they can win the division.

Week 2 - Titans [ 13 ] (17 total votes)

I'm sure they'll do better, but I have them at 2-14.

Based on their game last year (CIN W 35-6), I am surprised this is not higher. I would bet my house that they win more than 2 games this year.

Tennessee is a team on the rise, Cincy, who knows?I'm sure they'll win more than 2, but I'd only put $ on 2.

The way the poll is worded, I only have them with 3 wins. They will be bad this year (IMHO), but not 3 wins bad. They have enough offensive firepower to pick up another 3 wins against almost anybody.

The bengals are one of those teams that has the personel to beat almost anybody, a dangerous team. BUT...a team with too many internal problems, and little consistancy. 6-10 sounds about right, with a couple wins a 6 win team shouldn't normally get.

The homer in me thinks the Bengals offense will be improved with a healthy O-line, but this defense is going to be brutally bad. I think they'd have trouble getting to 8-8.

I can't vouche for this site but they have each game broken down in the AFCN by all of the teams and they don't like the Bengals chances this year.

Wow.....the Bengal haters are a-plenty in the Shark Pool. The division sucks and 9-7 can probably win it. The Bengals can and will win at least 9.

The offensive line will finally be healthy (hopefully) and even if the D makes a small improvement, which they only have one way to go and that's up, they can win two more than last year.

I think I'm misunderstanding these. You're telling me (or the site rather) that the Bengals are favored to win in Baltimore on opening day, but are underdogs to beat them in week 13? Is the computer trying to factor in teams improving/declining?

I'm thinking 5-11, 6-10 at best.

If so, we'll be hearing about Marvin Lewis being on the hot seat beginning with the bye week.

Go to the link for how they calculated but the site is the one who came up with the projections. I only see two wins calclated with a chance to win over fifty percent from THEIR projections but as I said, I can't vouche for the site. I don't know precisely how they factored in late vicotories over early losses or late losses over early victories depending on which team you believe would/should win. Maybe they feel defensive changes will take root, or rookies, like Keith Rivers, will make a difference later in the season, I dunno, go to the link. I cut out about four paragraphs of explanations so they probably cover it there.
