Talking time is over. Playing time is here. These guys have been discussed a lot this off-season here in the shark pool. I thought it might be fun to let people have a chance to make their best guess how these darlings of the board kick off the season.

For extra credit feel free to predict the box scores.

<------ starting BMW over Dez and Mike Wallace -- Dixon is awful and I want to see BryaNT before I start him

I'm leaning toward starting Jabar Gaffney as my #3 over both of them because I can't come up with an answer I'm comfortable with to this very question.

If forced to pick one over the other though I'd probably go with Skinny Mike Williams as he is home vs. Cleveland. BMW is home as well, but the 49ers are a much tougher match up.

Happy for BMW that he made a comeback from being FMW but the Bucs Mike Williams has looked off the charts in every preseason game and he's getting behind every CB1 that tries to cover him. Freeman has a cannon and he will hit Mike Williams for a long TD.

Bucs Mike Williams goes for 100+ and a long TD

BMW goes for a solid 6 rec and 80 yards but gets trumped by the rook.

C'mon dude - no risk, no reward. The rook is more explosive than BMW and especially Gaffney. Go big or go home!

Tampa Mike is one of their only weapons.... 6/102/1

BMW...Gets pulled for going to the crowd after catching a pass (sees a cheeseburger in the stands, drops ball in mid play)...1/7/0 (1 fumble)

Voted BMW but it'll be close.

BMW - 5/65/1

TBMW - 4/75/0

Now, what is the consensus on which Mike Williams loses his desire to play football again first? I go with Tampa Bay. Week 12.

week 1 has to go to TB Mike

I have both and Im starting TB as my wr3.

sea v SF, doesnt look to appetizing.

tb v cle, now that's more like it

Tampa Mike Williams. Why you ask? He is on my team. :)

or maybe Seattle Mike Williams. Why you ask? Because Tampa Mike is on my team. I have no luck. Sorry to all those I jinxed.

I'll go with BMW because I have a lot of reservations about Freemans thumb injury.

Can't believe this never seems to come up in these threads. I think it's gonna take a couple more weeks for him to get his timing down, he hasn't thrown in how many weeks?

BMW has been out of the league for what seems like forever. I want to see him actually do someting on a regular season NFL field before I believe he actually is capable of anything.

I'm benching both week1. They both need to prove themselves IMO and Josh Freeman's thumb may still be an issue. I'm going with Hester against DET.

Thinking about starting a pole

OchoCinco

or

Greg Jennings

they both wear #85 so it might be worth asking the question

Not me, boy. I'm starting him right out of the gate, along with McCluster. The thinking being that if they do well, I'll be able to brag about my evil genius and strut around all full of myself.

I expect LMW to have a better week than BMW due to matchups. I wouldn't feel comfortable starting either of them as anything more than a WR3.

i don't get why we are comparing them?

Would you still be asking this question if one of them were named Mike Applesauce?

Maybe you haven't been paying attention this off-season because "Fat Mike" is slimmed down and is "Fast Mike" as of right now. What you said is yesteryear's news.

Well, if both guys were named Mike Applesauce then we might have something.Seriously though, these guys have been a couple of "diamonds in the rough", if you will, that have been discussed a lot on this board over the past few months. I'd like to send a special shout out to FAUST on opening my eyes to TB mike. Both have interesting stories, their share of baggage, have great reports from camp and etc, and are pretty much flying under the radar (or have been). A lot of us are pretty interested in both of these guys...they are similar in ways...AND THEY HAVE THE SAME NAME. Its just supposed to be fun.

BMW 7/85/1

The other Mike Williams 3/17/0

Seattle has no line, no running game, and will be playing from behind.

The other MW is a rookie, injured QB, and shell shocked...

The numbers may be off but, BMW will have better stats.

I dont get it. If Peyton Mannings thumb was broken this board might crash from guys downgrading Wayne and Clark.

But Josh Freeman? No problem. Williams will get his.

Really?
