Which pitcher to keep/trade for... (1 Viewer)

So in my 12 team keeper league we can keep up to five players, at least 2 of batters/pitchers.

My keepers will be:

1. A Pujols

2. D Wright

3. (V Mart or A Dunn)

1. Roy Oswalt

2. (As of today: T Hudson or J Nathan)

I am in trade talks with a team that has the four pitchers named above and he wants V Mart.

Looking at the rosters, McCann, Mauer, and R Martin will not be kept so there will be good catchers in the FA draft. So should I trade V Mart and Hudson for Piazza and one of those pitchers: Lackey, Hill, Young, Halladay? Or should I keep V Mart and try to trade A Dunn and Hudson for a better SP to keep?

why would Mauer or Martin NOT be kept?

relative to there postition i would keep them over most bats not named: Utley or ARod

i would keep VMart and trade Dunn, he is playing way over his head, (i.e. his OBP is good this year)

Mauer and Martin will not be kept because:

The team that has Martin has: Fielder,Caberra, and Crawford.

The team that has Mauer has: Howard, Hafner, and Jeter.

*He may keep Mauer over Jeter, but I just traded that team Jeter for Oswalt, so I dont see why he would not keep Jeter if he just traded for him.

I will see what SP I can get for A Dunn and T Hudson.

Fielder, Martin is tough, but Mauer > Hafner, in a keeper league
