Which RB/WRs get better later in season? (1 Viewer)

Every year some players struggle early, owners get impatient, then the players heat up just in time for playoffs. Want to see who the Sharks think might do that this year and about when you would try to pry them away?

I look for Lions RB Kevin Smith to get better as the season progresses. The Lions will struggle with the run as they're learning to zone block and I don't see a lot of room for Smith to run the ball right now.

If the Lion offensive line stays healthy and Smith stays healthy, although they won't be the Denver Broncos of old in their rushing attack, they should be better than what they show in the start of the season.

Ronnie Brown, J. Stewart, Maroney, K. Jones, M. Morris. Brown obviously has to heal and owners that drafted him will wait it out. If D. Williams falters Stewart will get the majority of carries so I will keep an eye on that during the 1st 3 games. Maroney has shown flashes. I don't think there is a question about his talent but, rather, his desire. If he starts off slow I would make a play. K. Jones has experience and may see some PT if Chi. starts flat. I am not a believer in J. Jones and it may be a full blown RBBC in Sea.

See now, I expect the rookie RB's to slow a bit after 10 games.

teams with new offensive schemes or early season injuries could start out slower than expected

- maybe IND with their early injuries will hurt Addai out of the gate.

- maybe Zorn's new offense in WAS will take a few weeks to click.

- maybe SF/Gore struggle early on with Martz's complex offense.

and naturally, look for rookie RBs to tail off at the end of the year.

I'm still not 100% convinced it's not a coincidence, but Lee Evans has been TERRIBLE at the beginning of season the last couple of years. Not that he's been terrific the REST of the year, but BRUTAL at the start.

Favre and the Jets will start out slowly, IMO

LT has started slowly the past couple of seasons, probably due to very little preseason action

Cincy will start slowly ( Palmer in particular) without TJ and an injured CJ.

Sjax , Bulger..( new offense)

Gore ( new offense)
