I dimly recall that Rud was going to be out for a few days. Does anybody recall when he's due back?We might turn off the clock, but there's no need to halt the draft. For most folks, most of the time, the best time to repick or steal after being robbed is just before their next pick....so there is no overwhelming need to freeze the draft right now.

Thanks...saved me the trouble. He still has an 8 hour clock from the time his second round pick would have been due (the guy before himn took his second round pick)There is no clock for repicks, but they do have to be made before your nixt pick is due.

Shouldn't my clock run anyway in case I want to Steal but, not right away?

I should have 8 hours to pull off a steal.

THERE IS NO CLOCK FOR RE-PICKS OR STEALS AFTER YOU'VE BEEN ROBBED.

The clock is only for the guy who's normal pick has come due.

The only time limitation for making up a stolen pick is that it must be done before your regular pick is due (IE: Reaper must secure a first round pick either by repick or steal before he makes his round 2 selection)

See, I misunderstood that from what I had read before as saying "fresh picks/steals" meant that fresh picks or ANY steals had an 8 hr clock. Otherwise, I might have let it drag for a while anyway, though the result would have likely been the same.

Truth be told, after the 3 guys I wanted (Westy, Manning, Gore) went off the board, this was my intent, though how it worked out wasn't quite as I planned.

That's one of the clarifications I made. Remember we said only one person would ever be on the clock at a time. All I did was change the wording to clarify the intent. If you were robbed, then you are on a re-pick, not a "fresh" pick, even if you use a steal for that re-pick.A "fresh pick or steal" is when you make your NORMAL selection...IE: In Ducky's case, LT in the first. Rudy's steal of LT was also "fresh". Ducky's steal of Bush was a repick where he chose to excercise a steal.I think this will all seem simpler as we move forward. Just use the "Steal test" constantly, and remember that only the next NORMAL draft pick is OTC at any given time.

True, but as long as we keep cluttering up the draft thread with banter, it's only fair to make it as easy as possible by keeping post one up to date, and keeping it so that it's easy to follow. I'm sure somebody will mess up at some point, and you'll still get your laugh.

NOTE TO ALL: Someone just pointed out a minor glich in the matrix. The rules imply that you can never own the same player more then once, but the steal test left open a limited possibility of stealing a player back. Since doing so would cause mass confusion, not to mention tracking nightmares, I closed the minor loophole simply by adding one more simple step to the steal test.
