Dark meat with skin is THE only turkey I'll eat. No matter what you do with the white, it just is blah.. Does this make me anti-racist? :D

I like duck because its ALL dark meat.

Duck is 3x more expensive than chicken.

People eating white meat chicken are suckers with defective taste buds.

Dark meat is better. White meat from a chicken breast is good because you get such a nice big chunk of meat. Isn't it ironic, don't you think?

Decided to just eat the turkey leg from now on. Can't find anyone that can keep a turkey juicy.
My aunt does a pretty good job so the white doesn't taste as meh. She puts it out to thaw and once it's thawed enough, in a large ice chest she will put the butter and stuff on it and let it sit over night. Then she'll cook it like everyone else with the stuffing with rosemary twig inside it too. It may not be mouth watering juicy but hers is the best turkey white meat I've eaten, and I don't care for turkey in general. I'm not a big chicken breast fan either even though you can make this taste better than turkey. I like thighs and legs. Maybe it's becuz I'm a female and straight that I don't like breasts... :D

the ONLY time I prefer white meat is when eating hot wings, and that's because by definition hot wings are white meat.

everything else- dark meat

Dark for sure.

Surprised to see the voting even, i'm one of the only ones who eats the dark at thanksgiving out of the 20 or so relatives there.

I cook the the Turkey and it is always juicy. Even the white meat. It's actually pretty easy to cook a turkey. Roasting bags work great.

Even with that I am more a dark meat guy. Although white meat is good for sandwiches.

I smoke my turkeys. I start with the breast side down for the first 2-3 hours, then I turn it right-side up. This prevents the fat from draining down out of the breast. Very tasty, very juicy.

I tried Tony Chachere's Butter and Jalepeno Injectable marinade on the turkey we cooked and it came out delicious.White meat was tender, juicy and full of flavor and the dark as well.

Based on that I went option 3.

I like these suggestions. I may have to drop some recipes to my turkey preparers. MIL did a pork roast on Christmas eve. Not a good experience either. I'm going to try a prime rib for new years day , and see if I can cook something that will be a good alternative for next year. Maybe smoke a turkey see how that goes. I have to do something to make sure these turkeys don't die in vain.

For a couple years, I did a leg of lamb for Christmas dinner. That is hard to beat for deliciousness and ease of preparation.

If you can put gravey on it, white meat is awesome.

ETA: white pork is superior to white poultry.
