Definitely. A few weeks ago, Hawk said Ozzie and Leyland are two of the best managers in the game. Ozzie? WTF? Even Darrin Jackson couldn't speak up to back up Hawk on that one. I 99% agree with you, leaving myself a 1% out only because the Tigers haven't been good in recent memory so you never know if they will choke down the stretch. With Leyland managing though, I doubt they will choke.3 more games vs the Sox here and a few more vs. the Twins, I believe.

Not terrible, not great. His first half last year was lights out. Since then he's been mediocre.That doens't mean I don't like the kid. I am glad to see him playing so well not just 'cuz I'm a Sox fan, but because I thought it was cool that he showed up to the White Sox Fan Convention in February '05 less than 24 hours after his wife had had a baby. I do..but conservatively. Guillen was on Mike North this morning and talked about how his team was going through the motions for a few games before yesterday. He then said that he told them that they have to want it for themselves. He said that he was happy with what he saw in game 3 of the series, mostly because he saw the fire back in them. He wasn't taking credit for psyching them up..he just was happy to see the hunger there. Other notable things in that interview:- He said that Podsednik puts a ton of pressure on himself and that it carries into all facets of his game. he said that Pods could go 4 for 5 and go crazy over not getting that fifth hit- AJ hasn't been playing because he is so down on himself. He gets noticeably upset when he doesn't get a hit and whines a lot. *shocker* He said that he told him that it's a man's game and there is no place for babiesIf they can keep up the intensity vs the Twins this weekend and for the rest of the season, they are going to be a lot of trouble for teams to beat. Oh yeah, IMO it would help if they got some decent pitching consistently.
No ####ing way. The way they are doing it is reminiscent of the Sox last year. Not exactly one player stepping up but great pitching and the entire team getting timely hits and supporting one another. I don't dislike the Tigers at all and I don't dislike the Twins. I actually respect the Twins because they play the game right and plug in players here and there and don't skip a beat. I really hope that if the Sox don't win it, someone in the Central does. I am sick of the east coast b.s.
