Who are the top fantasy WRs for 2006? (1 Viewer)

I think you can assume most of Evans' best games as ones with Losman at QB.
A fair point, but who else is Holcomb/Nall/Losman going to throw to?2 concerns to me

1. A better D = less deep pases

2. First year as a #1, I don't know if opponents treated Moulds as the true #1 or not, but the other WRs don't exactly impress anyone.

...Holocomb... = not so good.

While I like Evans upside, you have him a tier too high.
The two times I've seen Holcomb called on to be THE quarterback for his team, he looked pretty good...Last year, he had a 67.4% completion percentage for Buffalo, which is outstanding. I admit, his yards per attempt were a bit low at 6.6 (I'd like to see 7+) and his TD:INT ratio of 5:4 was a concern (I much prefer 5:3). The major concern, though, is that Holcomb cannot complete a season. That said, if Holcomb gets enough attempts, his high percentage of completion should get the ball into Evans' hands enough for him to be successful.

The mark I have for Evans isn't dependant on Holcomb playing all 16 games. All Evans needs is for Holcomb and Lossman to combine for about 3200 yards and 19 touchdowns. With that pool of fantasy points, he should be able to gather enough of them to be in the third tier. Do you see any threats on the Bills to Evans' percentage of targets?

Isn't he pronounced "**** urine"? :unsure:

This is a double edges sword, the defenses won't either.Now, that isn't to say he can't perform, while Steve Smith is a better WR right now, he's done great as the only real threat. McGahee will help keep defenses relatively honest, but I just don't know that Evans is able to be a top 10 just yet.

I'm hoping you're right.

All the 2004 games listed, of course, were with Bledsoe...but you're right, aside from the week 16 game, all the 2005 games listed were with Lossman.

He is clearly the #1 target on his team. But with QB/coach offensive system questions. I think you have him 10 spots too high.

I'd like to hear the argument for Evans a tier above Roy Williams.
There's not much of an argument really, I think it's just a matter of receptions. I see Evans as getting the bulk of receptions in Buffalo, but I see the ball more spread around in Detroit. Perhaps I don't want to give up on Charles Rogers and Mike Williams, and perhaps I'm giving too much credit to Scotty Vines...but, either way, I have Roy Williams projected at 15 receptions fewer than Evans because there seem to be more viable receivers in Detroit.My other problem is, I'm not sold on Martz coming in and immediately turning the Lions into an offensive powerhouse. I know, I know, he did it in 1999 his first year with the Rams. Maybe I'm just a Martz-hater...
