Who are you benching this week? (1 Viewer)

Everyone is all over Vick's jock because he came in last week against a team that game planned all week for Kolb. Detroit may still be a bottom feeder in this league, but they had a week to prepare for Vick and you know they will make him beat them with his arm.
Let's not kid ourselves here. Detroit's DL is improved and may now be at league average, but their LBs and secondary are still very below average. They can gameplan for Vick for a month and it doesn't matter one lick if they can't catch him or contain him. Vick is going to have a field day against Detroit. 100-150 rushing and 1-2 rushing TDs. They simply don't have the personnel to keep him in the pocket, nor catch him when he breaks containment.ETA: look what Forte did against them on his receptions last week. Once Vick gets away from the line, it's all over.

Don't know how crazy it is considering the match up, but I'm sitting Mendenhall for Foster. Feels weird but the logic seems good.

Benching Colston.Starting Santana Moss.
 49er defense is a mess, and you would bench a stud on a Monday Night game? Never bench your stud, and always get as many Sunday Night and Monday Night guys as possible.
Always appreciate your insight, RF32904 -- reason behind this move is I also have Nicks. Benching Colston gives me some flexibility on my bench if for any reason Nicks can't go. I hear what you are aying about playing the guys playing under the lights, but I don't know if I've seen conclusive stats that prove the "step-up" fantasy factor of SNF and MNF. Also, while Colston is a stud, he's an inconsistent one, with Brees having a lot of other options to go to.I'm currently weighing starting all three of my WRs (one in a flex), and benching Forte for Hightower. With Beanie Wells likely being limited, I like Hightower to have a solid shot at 50rush/20rec. Forte is in Dallas against a stout run D at home looking to avenge the loss.Too many decisions.

Benching the 2nd all time TD reception leader (Randy Moss) for the 3rd all time TD reception leader (Terrell Owens). You guys scared me with all this Revis Island crap.
Benching Moss as well. Luckily, I have Jennings to replace him. If not for him, I'd be twisted in knots trying to decide what to do.

Talk about crazy media hype. Vick hasn't started a game sine before he went to prison, and you think he's going to outscore Brady? He won't come close to 100 yards rushing, and he doesn't have the weapons and isn't accurate enough to out pass Brady.Everyone is all over Vick's jock because he came in last week against a team that game planned all week for Kolb. Gameplanning for Vick means assigning a spy. Avril, Levy and Delmas are all dinged up and might not play. Detroit's secondary sucks outside of Delmas. Who can they assign as a spy who really has any chance of containing Vick? And even if they do have this person, does the secondary have the skill and discipline to maintain coverage once Vick starts moving around?Call me crazy, but I see this as a great matchup for Vick. His ability to break contain and cause coverage to collapse works against good D's...and Detroit's D is still a work in progress.Would I bench Brady for him? No. But I wouldn't be surprised for Vick to hit top 5 this week. But I think Brady is smart enough to use Revis on Moss to open up other opportunities. Wilson looked lost at times last week. Welker will eat him alive while Tate keeps the outside a real concern as well.BTW, I don't expect Vick to break 100 yards rushing this week. He's very aware of the criticism that he's just not that good a QB. I think he tries to threaten runs to set up throws like he did in that red-zone possession last week. He wants to start and knows he's auditioning for a starting gig next year...if not this year. I think he makes a concerted effort to make plays with his arm and actually limits his runs.

Thinking about M Floyd over H Nicks.

Too many times been burned when a WR who cannot cut is in there as a decoy only.

Too many decisions is a nice problem to have. Sounds like you have a killer team. I really like your RB's for ppr.

I'm benching Randy Moss for Vernon Davis in WR/TE flex.

I had Randy last year for two trips to Revis Island and only got a t-shirt.

If I had Brady, I would bench him for Vick this week. Instead, I just benched Flacco for Vick.

Thanks -- 14 teamer, so I'm pleased with what depth I was able to wrangle in the draft. Beanie out, Hightower in. We'll see what transpires -- good luck, all!

Benching Bradshaw, P-Thomas and Steve Smith (Car)

Starting Foster, S-Jackson, R-Moss, Welker, Marshall, Gates over all 3 of them.

Strongly thinking of gambling and benching Jamaal Charles v. the Browns in favor of McFadden v. Rams. Just not sure only due to Michael Bush status not being known.

Ok so I was wrong about 100yds rushing, but you guys can eat crow on the rest - I told you Vick would outscore Brady. Say it with me 1 more time, always start the QB playing against the Lions....

Considered benching Chris Johnson forBradshaw vs INDD. Williams vs TB
Johnson has not had under 100yds rushing since week 5 of last year. When he gets 20+ carries, he has only failed to break 100yds 2 times out of 12. I don't care if PIT hasn't allowed a 100 yd rusher since the days of Jesus, I'll put my money on the Light Blue Jesus.
CJ was 1 stinking holding penalty away from keeping his streak alive, and ending PIT's streak when that 85 yd TD run was called back. DWill sucked today anyway, and it's not looking like Bradshaw is doing any better.

Yep lost my game should have played P-Thomas or Steve Smith or Dez BryantS-Jackson may never see my line up again.

My friend Brett Old Rusty Farve plays the lions next week. They are 0-2, you still think start Frave?

Learned three things from this thread, but I might change my mind later in the week

1. Most sharks get too cute.

2. Most sharks play in guppy leagues.

3. If you post it in the pool, the FBG curse will bite you 75% of the time...80% if your monkier begins with a L

benched mike sims-walker for greg camarillo on my total points league. convinced myself that garrard's road ineptitude makes MSW a bad road start as well. i was half right. garrard blew. i thought camarillo would get in the flow this week against his former team. i was wrong.
