Who are your sleeper QBs? (1 Viewer)

Rivers?

Simms?

Call me crazy, but if Byron Leftwich can stay healthy, he could have that breakout year.

Sure there is no Jimmy Smith, NYPD Blue survived without him, and so can the Jaguars.

3400 Passing Yds 24 TD 13 INT 500 Rushing Yds 5 TD.

Chris Simms due to a healthy Clayton to go with Galloway and many a short field due to a stud D giving the offense great field position.

Based on where he was ranked over the summer including this site, my pick for this years suprise QB (ala Carson Palmer) is Carson PalmerTom

500 rushing yards?please put down the crack-pipe......

Finish in top 10 for sure who most think will not = Jake Plummer, Aaron Brooks

Surprise by throwing more than 20 TDs = J.P. Losman, Charlie Frye

People will be down on, but once again will produce top 15 points = B. Favre, Brees

Will Reach Stud level = E. Manning

Finish top 25 for sure and most think will not = A. Smith, D. Carr,

Finally Don't Sleep on this top 15 guy = M. Vick (not that he's a sleeper, but he'll way outperform past this year.)

Just my list

Tony Romo, most people will ridicule me for this pick but I truly believe he will be starting by week 3 and he will be putting up close to 250 yards passing and 30-50 rushing per game. This is not just an over reaction to tonights injury to Bledsoe either. I had Bledsoe last year on several fantasy teams and watched every game closely. He performed much better in the fantasy world than he did in real football, and it is for this reason that Parcells will have a very short leash. I truly believe that most defenses have figured out how to play Bledsoe, and that is by high pressure and hitting him in the chin. While not every defense is talented enough to do this, you can tell that strong defenses can get Bledsoe out of his game. The Cowboys have a rather weak offensive line and Tony Romo is better suited for their team. Not only will Romo create more on broken plays, but he also has a certain swagger that will win his team over. I don't expect anyone to agree with me, and I expect most people to flame me, but if Romo starts early on in the season he will finish top 10 easily and as long as TO is part of the team all year he could even finish top 5.

I'm not really following everyone. Was Carson supposed to be a sleeper last year?

I like Jake Plummer's value right now, I don't think he's going to be the next Carson Palmer but I like him to outperform his draft position.

Not a real sleeper, as everyone knew he had potential, but along the same lines as Eli this year. Only Eli doesn't have Chad Johnson or an elite OLine. If you want a real, deep sleeper, I'd take a gamble on Dan Orlovsky. Not in a redraft unless it's insanely huge, but dynasty. As for the "most Carson Palmer like" QB, I'd have to go with Ben, but honestly, none will be quite the same.

Wow! Carson in 11. That's really great.

If I'm gonna compare a guy to Carson, I'd take Brees. He won't be anywher near a #2, but he'll really outperform his draft spot.

I'm always the last guy to take my QB, and last year that was Palmer. This year, I see Roethlisberger having a huge year.

With no Bettis to grab those slam-dunk short-yardage TDs, Big Ben will run a few in himself, and I also expect a lot of play-action to Miller, a nice TE option in his second year. As long as Ward stays healthy, I see Big Ben throwing for 3,200 yards and 25 TDs.

Problem with Manning is that people are expecting him to break out, and therefore he's getting drafted a lot earlier than you'd expect from a "sleeper."

Warner with a history of big numbers and two of the best WRs in the game to throw too. If he doesn't get hurt, he's top 5.

Was waiting for somebody to post Warner. If he can stay healthy for 16 games & I admit it's a big if, I'm with Woz.

I agree with the poster who said Romo earlier. He probably won't finish with top 5 numbers, but with TO on the roster he'll certainly have a ton of value and the potential to easily finish in the top 10. And there's a solid chance he's sitting on your waiver wire right now.

If you are defining this years' Palmer as a QB who has very little experience as a starting QB in the NFL, and breaks out this year, than I go first with Rivers then with Losman.

From a pure value standpoint, I go with Warner.

If both of these statements are true, then you drafted with a bunch of chimps to leave Palmer that late.

If you don't get Manning or Palmer, I would agree with you. However I would be reluctant to count on the Pittsburg QB to consistantly produce throughout the season. Randal El was the best QB in the last super bowl. Pittsburg is a run first team, and will be again.

Six weeks ago it was McNabb. He was getting ranked in the low teens and I couldn't see him being worse then 3-4. His pre-season performance has changed that though and now he's about where he should be on most people's lists.

The better sleeper now is Rivers. He knows the offense, has the physical tools, the mental tools, and has a few weapons in his arsonal. I can't see him being less then a top 10 QB.

1. Leftwich is far more likely to lose his job than to breakout.

2. Romo will not take Bledsoe's job (but Barber will take Jones' job). Bledsoe has a career year.

3. Favre can be had as QB2 at ridiculous value right now. I took him at 13.04 last night in a 10 teamer.

hmmm, Bledsoe appears to be "concussed", so maybe you're no so crazy afterall.

Simms fits the profile but I dont think he will perform to the breakout level that palmer did last yr...actually other than simms and rivers there really arent any QBs that fit the mold of Palmer from last yr
