Who can beat the Chargers in the SB? (1 Viewer)

How many of our ... ahem ... "older" fans can remember the "unbeatable" 1983 Redskins being taken to the woodshed by the "obviously inferior" Raiders in Super Bowl XVIII? The current talk about San Diego reminds me of the run-up through the 1983 playoffs.
True, but the Chargers are more comparable to the '72 Dolphins or '85 Bears.
TommyGunz, is that you? I'd like to put H.K and TommyGunz in a room with the following:A worn LT JerseyA bottle of lotionA piece of breadWe all know the rest
Not too sure I understand the venom you spew toward me and Gunz...You are one of my favorite and most respected posters around here. Personally, I think you should be on staff.Anyway, I'm just talking Bolt football, no need to make things personal.
Didn't mean to make things personal. Was just taking a comical jab at everyone "sweating" the Chargers. Nothing personal. I just got off the phone with T-Gunz and we both got a good chuckle out of my off color post. Maybe wait a couple of weeks before declaring the Chargers Superbowl champs.

You're not a Chargers fan or you wouldn't be cursing them like this. STOP IT. NOW. TIA.

H.K. said:
I just said he'd be an underperforming slug....and he has been.
He's on pace to match his 2004 yards and his 2005 touchdowns. Last year he became the first TE ever to catch 10+ TDs in back-to-back years. This year he became the first TE ever to catch 8+ TDs in back-to-back-to-back years, and he's on pace to get to 10 again.Gates is the #1 fantasy TE this year, and in FBG scoring, the difference between Gates and the #2 guy is bigger than the difference between the #2 guy and the #7 guy.

Gates is first among TEs in TD receptions, first among TEs in receiving yards, second among TEs in receptions, and tied for fifth in the entire NFL in TD receptions (behind only Torry Holt, Darrell Jackson, Terrell Owens, and Plaxico Burress).
Everything is relative. I expected more. Doesn't matter anyway. He'll tank it this week and I'll be free to get on with my life.
you'll need to get one first  :P what the hell am I talking about? I'm out of the playoffs now in both my leagues and I'm on here. Thank God Joe and David have an incredibly interesting site or I'd be faced with the nothingness that is MY life. Hey H.K> Don't you want to forego spending the Son of God's birthday with your family and friends, getting lots of nice presents, and relaxing and come down to the watering hole and just get wasted with me for like about three weeks straight? Most places they'll let anyone have free pretzels! On second thought, I'm a little uncomfortable being with all the dudes who are doing all that already as I feel I can't offer anything of substance to them that would make them invite me to sit near them. I'll just sit here with the guy I don't like, me. Maybe I'll give him a beer. But if you'd come over that'd be great.

Chance that they will lose out before the SB >>>>>>Chance that they win the SB >>>>>>Chance that a team from an inferior conference will beat them in the SB
