Who did you steal in your draft? (1 Viewer)

Cotchery 7.03 (14 team redraft) & Warner 13.03

Chester taylor (10 team RD/keeper, rd13, i had Peterson lol)

Vikings 9.05 (10 team redraft after 6 defenses were picked b4 them) McNabb 10.06 (10 games played = round 10? sure ill take it)

Fargas in round 10.Rarely can you get a starting RB that late.
I don't think you got a starter in Fargas.....he is the 3rd best RB on their roster
He'll definitely be the starter at the start of the regular season.
I think I would refer to him as the "starter" at the start of the regular season. His upside is no better than Fred Taylor running alongside MJD, in my opinion....but it seems like everyone expects McFadden to get every opportunity to get the lion's share of the carries. Fargas is definitely not worthless, but definitely nothing more than a low tier RB3 (barring a McFadden injury or very poor McFadden play, of course).

In your last draft who did you think was the best value pick you made. Pick one player from your most recent draft, give the round/position you drafted him and why you think it was a steal. I haven't had any of my drafts yet, but was hoping to use the information to get a jump on some good value sleepers.
I had the 10th (last pick) in my draft. I took Brees and Barber (Brady, Manning, Romo were gone) and I was hoping for Jamal Lewis by the 3rd round. Lewis was there, but I saw more value in taking a fallen Braylon Edwards, and coincidentally Jamal Lewis fell to me again in the 4th. I know you can get selvin young much later than 4th or 5th, he's got upside but there is risk surrounding the amount of carries he'll get.

Chris Perry in the 19th round back in May for one of my initial dynasty drafts.
Nice one the way it is looking right now. It would be nice if everyone replying in this thread included the date of their draft as it is tough to judge how good/lucky a pick may have been without knowing the date (last week vs this week even makes a big difference in some situations).

Calvin Johnson in round 5 in more than one draft. A lot of people refuse to do early drafts because of injury and/or some other uncertainty, but there are some definite advantages. Calvin will not go past the mid 3rd from here forward.
No kidding. I got him as the 25th WR a month ago. Now he's going 14-18. Boew when I can get him as a #3 WR, but he's been moving up too.Damn training camp reports. :wall:

Our draft was in June and I got M Lynch in the 4th !

That was when Lynch was arrested (or suspect) for the hit and run.

Dynasty startup auction:

Ted Ginn for $7 (WR22)

-He is a lock for top 15 and possible to finish in the top 5 (return yardage league). He finished WR17 last year in this format.

Cotchery for $5 (WR23)

-this was before the Favre trade, so it was just decent value at the time.

Rookie draft (same league):

Curtis Lofton at 3.02 (4th LB taken)

-He was my #2 rookie LB, our league is tackle heavy and he's the only rookie who is currently a starting MLB.

12 team draft:

T Heap - Middle of the 13th round

B Favre - Middle of the 10th round

C Perry - I took him in the middle of the 11th as my rb5, after rudi was selected, after hester, slaton, a hall, r rice, duece. This is a ppr league and we keep 2 players each season. Im not saying hes keeper material but hes a starter with good hands.

I should also add that Im looking at Z Miller as TE2, Kevin Curtis or C henry for my WR5 in the 14th round.

Two QB league - JT O'Sullivan in the 16th. Oh yeah!
$1 waivers O'Sullivan$1 RFA in april (before the rookie draft) Brett Favre in 2 leagues. 1 from a Packer fan. I guess that retirement speech was convincing, but declining $1 to match?

jonathon stewart. rd 7 of keeper. may not be value to some, but in my league it is gold.
Yeah that's crazy value. How the heck did he fall that far...
honestly, i have no idea. We don't have a separate draft for Rookies. We throw them in with everyone. McFadden went 1.01 (after all keeps were declared) and then no rookie was taken until Stewart in 7th round. I am stoked. I was sure he'd go in the 2nd or 3rd round.
I have to cry some serious B.S. here... why didn't YOU grab him earlier than that! :bs: :bs: :bs:
haha, cmon dude, why would i make up something like that? i waited and he got to me. nothing else to it. I am very happy>
So you did not have a 4th, 5th or 6th pick to get him?

10 team league last week.

Addai at 1.08

A. Johnson at 3.08

Took some serious skill to sit back and have them slip to me. Steals nonetheless!!!

Major steal here IMHO, 10 teams $185 cap Auction:

After most teams spent $25 + on the likes of Brady, Peyton, Brees and Palmer, I got Cutler for $2. Some guys were like, I can not believe he is going to go for $2, but none of them bothered to outbid me. I backed him up with Garrard for $1 late in the draft, another mini-steal.

14 Team Redraft

Selvin Young at the 9.05, PPR league and I already have Westy and Bush starting and Ricky Williams on the bench. Couldn't be happier with my RB's in a 14 team league.

In one draft

Calvin 6th, Cotchery 7th

Another

Roth 5th, Marshall 6th

Another

Gates in the 6th picked first, and Chris Johnson 10th

I had the first pick in a 10 team draft last night. I took LT and was more than happy to grab Wayne and Fitz at 2.10 and 3.01 respectively.

I hadn't planned on going wr-wr...but the run on running backs left me with virtually no choice.

jonathon stewart. rd 7 of keeper. may not be value to some, but in my league it is gold.
12-team redraft, $100 auction formatStewart $4 (and DeAngelo Williams $4)

But some nice QB values (Draft Dominator rankings for my league)

QB01 Tom Brady $26

QB02 Drew Brees $21

QB03 Tony Romo $21

QB04 Carson Palmer $9

QB05 Peyton Manning $25

QB06 Ben Roethlisberger $3 * mine

QB07 Vince Young $1 * mine

QB08 Donovan McNabb $5

QB09 Matt Hasselbeck $4

QB10 Derek Anderson $5

QB11 Jay Cutler $7

QB12 Matt Schaub $1 * mine

QB13 Marc Bulger $9 * We're in St. Louis

QB14 David Garrard $1

QB15 Aaron Rodgers $1

QB16 Jon Kitna $2

QB17 Eli Manning $5

QB18 Brett Favre $5

QB19 Philip Rivers $3

QB21 Jake Delhomme $1

QB23 Jeff Garcia $1

QB24 Matt Leinart $1

QB25 JaMarcus Russell $1

QB35 Kurt Warner $3

ya, but i grabbed roy williams, winslow and jennings to fill out the roster

In my 12 team 0.5ppr 20 rd draft I nabbed the following steals in our draft over this past weekend:

Braylon Edwards at 2.12

Anquan Boldin at 4.12

Drew Brees at 5.01 (6pt TDs)

Ernest Graham at 6.12

Laurance Maroney at 7.01

Chris Johnson at 13.01

Chris Henry at 18.12 (could be huge after the 4 week suspension or a complete bust)

12 team draft this past Sunday:

6.11 McFadden

7.02 Ronnie Brown

8.11 Roddy White

9.02 J. Galloway

10.11 Scheffler

Really liked the middle of this draft and drafting from the 2 slot.

Your administration probably frowns on you conducting a fantasy league in your pre-school class.

:goodposting: Not really sure what you mean. The league isn't a traditional dynasty. We get to keep 3 and the following year we get them at the same round. The 3rd year they become a top 3 pick . 1st, 2nd, or 3rd depending on how many points they score. Basically, what I am saying is that some guys in the league stay away from rooks, while others like to grab them much earlier, hence McFadden in the 1st). Anyways, that's all i got.

I can't imagine who these other owners are drafting if ROY goes for the equivalent of a 7th and jennings the equivalent of a 9th.

In my 12-team league, snake draft at the 4th slot.

Round 6: Tony Gonzalez (Witten, Gates and Winslow went two rounds earlier)

Round 7: Donald Driver (another 1000-yard season; won't be limited to two TDs this year)

Round 11: Derrick Mason (103 receptions last year)

12 team PPR Dynasty startup drafted this last weekend:

6.07 67. Shake & Bake Winslow, Kellen CLE TE Sat Aug 23 2:50:44 p.m. MT 2008

the way we have our keepers valued per round makes it interesting. to answer your question...roy was the 17th person drafted after our 30 keepers were declared. It's not that crazy. Kellen also went right around his ADP. Ill admit Jennings fell too far, but my league hates Jennings (no favre).
