Who do you hope is OFF the board with your early picks? (1 Viewer)

I'm picking 20 & 21 in the my 10 team redraft. I'd love to see Willis, Jamal and Fitz gone. Not only will that mean others are available, but I don't want to be forced in to a best players available pick.

I'm in a 14 team redraft and I pick 14-15. I actually really hope Larry Johnson is gone, because I don't want to have anything to do with that guy this year. However, if he's available...I might have to think about it, and I don't want to!

I don't wanna have to take Steve Smiff in the first round of my 2 man keeper league, but I think it's gonna be between him and Andre Johnson

I want to pick early enough to not have to pick Gore or late enough that he is already off the board. I pick 10th in one league, and don't want to have to pick Gore.

In a 12 team redraft, with the 1st, 2nd or 3rd overall pick, I'd like to see Peyton Manning gone by 2.09. He's too much value to pass up at that point but in every mock I've taken him in the late 2nd / early 3rd, it puts me in a bind either at RB2 or my WR's.

This is not a topic I can even think about. One of my leagues is an auction, and the other three don't assign draft slots until just before the draft starts.

I do know that I don't want to be forced to take a QB before the third round. Should be easy enough to pass on Brady in the 1st, but if my preferred RBs and WRs are gone by my pick in the 2nd, and Manning stands out as the obvious pick, I dunno what I would do.

Assuming I don't end up trading picks away / getting more picks in my dynasty league:

1.03 -- Really hoping that Stewart goes #2 so I can pick Mendenhall without having to overthink it.

1.08 -- Really hoping that I don't end up picking between Felix Jones / Kevin Smith / Best Possible WR. It's too early to pick Keller by about 4-5 picks, and I'd much rather take Matt Ryan, Ray Rice (handcuff McGahee), or Chris Johnson than take Felix (COP back, nothing more imo), Smith (Detroit aaaaaaaaaa) or take a crapshoot WR pick.

Picking at 2.02 and 2.03 in two different 12-team leagues. I want Portis, MBIII, and Lynch all gone by then (one to me in round 1) so I can take Edwards or Wayne and fulfill my preferred drafting strategy. In many mocks I've had to decide between one of those three stud RBs or one of the stud WRs, and I don't like having to make that decision. Tough to pass up the value on either side.

Its got to be Brady for me. I actually am quite a big believer in Brady doing close to what he did last year, but I also hate taking QBs that early. I'm hoping to not have to sort out which of those two conflicting theories I believe in more.

Hope he goes top 5.

I'm taking an elite receiver in the 2nd round and I kind of hope that Moss, TO and Wayne are all off the board so I can take Braylon since I'm a Browns homer. ...Obviously if any of the other 3 are there I'd have to pass on him.

Good thread. Cause I every mock I have done there are always a few tough decisions in the first couple of rounds.

Guys I want someone else to take- In the first round I am more worried about a players floor than their ceiling. These guys seem to have the lowest floor.

1st round:

Portis: I am a skins fan and love this guy. He just plays so hard (Excellent pass blocker also) RBs that take on anyone are great for fans but bad for FF owners

Barber: Felix the cat will steal carries and catches. O line was super healthy last year and old. Figure the odds will catch up to them and that will Hurt the power running game.

Gore: Martz, a poor O line, QB issues, Bad Defense-- take your pick seems like trouble.

SJax and Gore in the first. I have the 12 pick and these dudes might be there. This is a heavy WR league where WR/TE get .5 per recept but the RBs do not.

Honestly, any of the "first-round" RBs other than LT, AP, and Westy. I am not excited about any of the other backs out there that have 1st round ADPs. I can honestly see myself not taking a RB in the first two rounds in any of my drafts this year unless I get a top 3 pick.

For me it would be Brady if I have 10/11 in the 1st round. I just never like to take a QB early but would almost have to pick him there...

Obviously? I have him ranked #2.
I like Braylon well enough to understand ranking him at #2, but I'm keeping him around #4 (potentially #3) since he's the only WR out of the top 4 who has a QB that isn't a 100% sure thing – or at least as close to it as possible. I could see myself being tempted to take him over Wayne due to the off chance that Harrison comes back strong, but no way do I draft him over Moss or TO.

Frank Gore in the 1st and Ryan Grant in the 2nd - I just wouldn't feel good about having to take either of these guys.

Ditto. I pick 4th this Saturday and fully expect those three to be gone.

I'm thankful I didn't get the #3 pick in any startup dynasty drafts this summer. That pick seemed to have the plague as both times the person tried very hard to trade it away and it was almost impossible to do. With AP and SJax going #1 and #2 in most startup dynasty drafts, it's almost impossible to pass on LT there yet you know his age doesn't make it an ideal pick either.
