Who do you like more at the rb spot in the pros? (1 Viewer)

I know a lot of this depends on where they end up but who do you like more heading into the draft and why.

I think Wells has the body to be a stud for many years as long as he is in the right offense.

Moreno is more of a typical west coast offense back who can catch the ball and slash out of the backfield.

Who do you like more?

I could see Wells ending up in Cleveland and Moreno in Denver

I do like McCoy but I'd have to say I like Moreno much more than the others' listed. So you would say you like Wells the best than right?I just acquired the #1 or #2 (lottery process) rookie pick in our dynasty league and I'm already looking forward to it.

I really like Wells as well but Moreno is tough.

There isn't anything special about him, I think there are special qualities about the guys I have ranked above him.I think Moreno will be a good backup/below average starter that I would like my team to have if he fell far enough...but I don't think he's a 1st round talent.

I'm a big fan of Percy Harvin although I think he won't go early in the draft.

Wells is the second best skill position player in the draft (behind Michael Crabtree) but is certainly the top runner. I like LeSean McCoy quite a bit and think he can make real waves at the next level. Moreno will be solid, but I don't see him as an elite player. Not high on Scott at all ... he doesn't have the top end speed or elusiveness in space to be that good. The more I see of DeMarco Murray the more I like. Spiller I don't know ... at times I think he's great and at times I think he's average. I like his speed, but nothing wows me about him. I may be in the minority, but I think teammate James Davis actually has more NFL upside.

A guy I really like who will get knocked down a few pegs because of his size is Javon Ringer. Kid runs hard, can get out of trouble and isn't afraid to run inside. He's also a good pass catcher and has a real nose for the end zone. Wouldn't be surprised if he ends up having a productive career.

Arian Foster from Tennessee seems to have a lot of the intangibles the pros like ... he can run tough inside, can get away from people once he's through the hole and is a decent pass catcher. He may not be heralded, but I think he'll be pretty good if he latches on with the right team.

The guys at the top are all good, but there isn't a ton of depth after about the first 7-8 backs.

Moreno looks like he has 'it' to me. I'm not a pro scout, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. I have no idea where he ranks compared to the other RB prospects.

In terms of fantasy production, where they end up is such an important part of the equation. Brian Westbrook might have been relegated to being a 3rd down back on a lot of teams in the NFL.

Moreno is a great back and will be one of the first 3 backs selected.

Spiller is average at best. I definitely agree that Davis is a better pro prospect.

Foster is a fumbling fool. Day 2 if he gets drafted at all.

I've only seen Shonn Greene once, but I was very impressed.

Not in love with either at this point, but my opinions are subject to change. I certainly think both guys have the potential to become productive NFL starters. The real question is whether or not I like them enough to spend a high pick on them.

Shonn Greene might be my favorite RB in this class right now. He doesn't have a huge upside, but I think his game will translate well to the next level.

Chris Johnson is making CJ Spiller a lot of money. I don't think Spiller is a flawless prospect, but he has the best burst and long speed of any of this year's elite RB prospects. He'll be attractive to teams who are looking for a big play threat. He has the Clemson career record for plays of 50+ yards and is dangerous as runner/receiver/returner.Clemson doesn't use Spiller and Davis enough, but from what I've seen Spiller is the better NFL prospect. Davis has pedestrian physical tools and is probably a backup caliber talent at the next level.

I like Wells a great deal, but his durability is starting to worry me. He seems to get dinged up a lot. People always want to talk about his size and speed which are impressive. However the most impressive thing about Wells is his feet and vision.

I'm not sure why there seems to be a negative buzz going around on Moreno. The guy is a fantastic RB prospect. Maybe not quite as good as Wells, but clearly a 1st round talent in the grade range of M. Lynch.

The jury is still out on McFadden but that is only because he has played so little this year, his only year. The jury is still out on McFadden but that is only because he has played so little this year, his only year. The main knock on him however is that he really doesn't have great straight line speed or top end speed and that he isn't as big as he is listed (208 lbs) with a smaller frame that will struggle to build mass. I'm really curious to hear more details from those who think Moreno is overrated.

Wells seems to have many of the tools, but something just seems to be missing with him - can't quite put my finger on it. I think Moreno may be a tad more "gimmicky" than Wells, but he does better on my eye-test than Beanie.

Peterson looks better than Bush now, but I'll admit that I liked Bush more as a prospect. I would rank them as:BushPetersonWellsMcFaddenWells has good power, pretty good speed, and pretty good feet. On the downside, he's long-legged and he takes way too many jarring hits to his upper body. He also doesn't have great burst or elusiveness for a pro RB. I think he'll probably be effective in the NFL, but I'm not sure if he'll be able to stay healthy.

Apparently, you must be the first person in this thread to have actually watched Moreno. He bowls over linebackers and has juked more than a few safetys out of their jocks. I don't think people realize the attrition UGA's O-line has gone through and what Moreno has done with mostly poor blocking. For the NFL he would have to bulk up a little, listed at 6'0", 208, if he can add 10lbs, he would be ideal size. Moreno's Hurdle > Wells' Hurdle

He's a good back. Shifty. Powerful. Quick. Runs low. I think he's going to be a solid pro player. That said, I can understand why people are a little bit down on him as an NFL prospect. He doesn't have flashy speed and he's (apparently) undersized for a workhorse type back. He lacks the "wow" qualities that you usually see from a high first round type RB. He's not nearly as flashy as Bush/Peterson/McFadden. He's more like Lynch or like Cadillac without the jukes. I think there's very little chance of him being a total bust in the NFL, but he may end up being pretty average.

That's pretty funny. The Lions have to learn that the great teams win the battle at the line of scrimmage. Millen could never figure that out as he kept drafting skill players high and ignored the offensive line and the defense. It is no surprise that is their two biggest areas of need.
