Who Drafted Kevin Jones Last Year? (1 Viewer)

I took him in the 3rd last year. I dominated my league, although I was constantly looking for a 3rd RB (We start 1qb,3rb, 4wr,1k, 1def - 12 team league). He cost me the championship in the end. At the time it seemed like the very savy pick as my 3rd rb.

Its funny, with all the positive news and evaluations of KJ, I dont know if I could draft him again this year. My ### still hurts from KJ from last year.

I did. Finished 1st. FWP in the 17th + stud WRs + Gates + Rackers bailed me out.

We drafted before the Lions were exposed in the 3rd preseason game vs. the Rams. At that point I was concerned.

This year we're drafting after those 3rd games. I had been hot on Roy Williams and perhaps Kitna with the Martz factor. I've cooled down on them now.

In the 2nd. T.O. end of the 1st. A.J., Horn in the 3rd. Arrington in the 4th (14 teamer). Coupled w/ Griese as 1/2 of my QBBC (Brooks) and I finished one game out of the playoffs. Engram and Curtis almost bailed me out.

Took him 1.06, took T.O 2.18. Won the league anyways by grabbing LJ in the 4th and Palmer in the 8th. It's better to be lucky than good sometimes IMO

1.10 Still managed 4th regular season and 3rd in playoffs.

Helps when you get Fitz in the 6th and Galloway in the 18th

:hey:

Took him as my #1 RB in an auction. Spent $18 on him in a $100 cap...at the time it was tremendous value. He ended up hosing me obviously. I avoided him like the plague this year. Especially since Martz doesn't know how to properly utilize RB's.

I took him along with Westbrook at the 1.12, 2.1 turn last year. Was happy with the picks, then got Parker late in the draft and that helped. Also had Caddy in the middle rounds and D. Jackson and D. Driver.

All was well until the injuries hit. Westy and D. Jackson hurt the most. Then when Caddy missed time my season suffered.

That effort deserves manager of the year consideration. ;) Mine was JJones :bag: in the 1st, TO 2nd, DJax 4th. Snuck in the playoffs behind M Anderson & Gado, but got destroyed week 1.

All that really matters is where you took him this year. I can't change the past. Last year's flops aren't necessarily this year's flops as situations change.

I didn't learn my lesson from last year and took him again this year... but this time in the 3rd round.By chance I have the exact same RBs 1 & 2 I had last year.... taking SJax in the first and KJ in the 3rd this year and the reverse order last year. Hope it works out better this time.

I ended up with KJ. I drafted Portis in the 2nd round last year. I got impatient with lack of TD's and when Schlessinger came back I thought KJ's number would pick up. So I traded for KJ and Hasselback. It ended up OK as I won the superbowl. No thanks to KJ...what a bad trade. I would consider him this year though as a #2

Probably the same people that are taking Ronnie/Caddy in the first this year all the while hating on rookies like Bush because of that "never played a down in the NFL" nonsense.

Sophomore guys coming off decent rookie years are just about as likely to flop as rookies themselves are, but they come at five times the price.

I took him last year and this year I got him in the third round. I refuse to admit I was wrong about him and I will keep drafting him until I can say I told you so. :bag:

Jones in first. :bag: Followed by Moss in the second and Owens in the third. Needless to say, my season did not go well last year.

I did in round 2 of my online league,* with McAllister being my other back. Still made the playoffs. Not to shabby if I say so myself.

* I do one local, one online every year

I drafted him in the first round last year and the second round the year before. While I won my league last season, I can assure you, it was in spite of Jones. I almost did not make the playoffs. My other players carried me and some good pickups at the end. I expect he will be better this season, but I do not expect him to ever reach the potential he showed in the second half of 2004. It will take a lot for him to redeem himself in my opinion.

Positively, and absolutely false. Faulk got plenty of carries, a HUGE amount of carries at times, whenever he was healthy.
Sir...I knew Marshall Faulk...and Kevin Jones is NO Marshall Faulk !

I got Kevin Jones, Julius Jones, and Tatum Bell in my primary league (3 man keeper league) in 2004. That hasn't worked out well at all. I let Tatum Bell go. I still have both Joneses. Kevin Jones is still a starting NFL RB, and all the studs are being kept year-in, year-out, so I have to be looking at breakout candidates.

I went 7-7 last year.

That may be true, but his time with Faulk shows that Martz has no problem using a RB effectively.
