Gin and tonic was probably my favorite drink in my twenties. All of my friends and I used to order it.

I think Sloe Gin is the girl drink. Maybe things have changed (I once thought that even a basically straight gin martini was a bit girly, and changed my mind as soon as I had one).

I used to have Gin and Tonic as my go to drink while playing Craps. No idea why or how this came to be.

In my circle, the girls are drinking vodka/cran, vodka/tonic and vodka/soda when it comes to hard liquor. The guys are drinking a variety - scotch, bourbon, gin, vodka. The girls aren't ordering gin.

Yeah, I don't think I've been with a girl who ordered a gin and tonic.

I'll echo the sentiments of others; this is a fantastic hot weather libation. Bombay Sapphire with fresh tonic and a generous squeeze of lime in a tall glass full of ice. Yep.

I'm aware of no world where gin and tonics are chick drinks. Chicks don't tend to like gin. Gin and tonics are magnificent when made in the Spanish style. Big red wine glass full of ice, some sort of citrus peel (I think an actual hunk of fruit or juice unbalances the drink), and some care taken in the gin/tonic pairing. Perhaps the most refreshing drink in the world.

Used to drink gin all the time when I was in my late 20s. My problem was that drinking gin= bad decision making for me

Hendricks & tonic.

already said- but great summer drink. I like them year-round. don't know many/any women who drink gin.

in my 30s drinking gin turned into to = cleaning my house

My wife makes sure that I have fresh bottle every year before the holidays

tonic sucks. Gin and club soda is where it is at both for taste and cutting calories... tonic is heavy calories and lots of sugar.

Girls I know are pretty much only drinking vodka based drinks in my parts... the flavored vodkas are killing it in that segment.

I've been trying to track down Martin Miller gin. Supposedly, it's spectacular. Anyone ever try it?

Yep. Tanqueray and Tonic in my twenties. Switched to vodka afterwards.

I've only seen one woman drink gin, and she was well over 80 at the time.

So I voted neutral.
I've personally never seen it, but the only woman I know of that drank gin was my wife's grandmother. In her 70's/80's gin was her morning drink (then Virginia Gentleman bourbon after noon).
