I've taken the position that he won't be back and see more value in Griffin than Holmes. I could be wrong, but in order to make a draft board I have to draw conclusions.

I think {Michael Bennett, Travis Henry, Jonathan Wells, LaBrandon Toefield, Anthony Thomas} has a better chance of containing Larry Johnson's primary backup than does {Dee Brown, Quentin Griffin, Derrick Ross, De'Arrius Howard, McKenzie Smith}.If Holmes plays, I think he'll have value.

If Holmes doesn't play, I don't think any RB currently on the Chiefs' roster has value (except for Larry Johnson, of course).

Therefore, I'd take Holmes over any other RB currently on the Chiefs' roster (except for Larry Johnson, of course).
