Who is starting Chris Johnson week 1? (1 Viewer)

you guys realize Tennessee is playing Jacksonville. not exactly an easy team to run against.

That could lead to Johnson getting more snaps - especially as a receiver - and raising his value in PPR leagues.

not in a PPR league, but certainly a fair point. doesn't mean I would start him though.

No, I think I will go with Portis and bush instead. I would probably start Thomas Jones, LenDale White and maybe even Chris Perry over him too. I like having Chris Johnson as my RB5/6 though. He may be huge later in the season. I am going to wait a little though thanks.

Why is there always a post like this, and why do people continue to think it's funny?

Wasn't trying to be funny. I was trying to make a point that his post wasn't contributing to the thread any more than mine was. The title of the thread is "Who is starting Chris Johnson week 1?" - He obviously is not, so why bother posting. Still, this guy felt compelled to come in here and post his roster and let everyone know that there is no way Chris Johnson could start for his team without injury to 17 other players.

I understand your point, but he didn't seem like he was doing it just to boast, looks like he was giving his full analysis instead of waiting for the inevitable "Who are you starting over Chris Johnson" thread, or the "What do you expect out of Chris Johnson in Week 1" thread, etc etc thinly veiled WDIS etc . . . instead of just saying "me" in a direct answer to the thread's question.

I'm sorry if my post made it sound like I was bragging about my RB depth. I was at work and kind of wrote the post fast without really considering that it could be taken wrong. The reason i opened this thread is because I am pretty happy about the fact that I was able to land Johnson in my draft. I think he will be valuable for me later on in the season. For week 1 against the Jags defense, I thankfully have better options. I have the luxury of playing a wait and see approach with regards to Chris Johnson. I would reccomend the same approach to everyone if their roster allows it. That was my intent when posting earlier. I am a humble man and am usually not a bragger or gloater. Sorry for the misinterpretation. I am trying to read everything I can about the kid, and that's why I was even in this thread to begin with.

well, I guess I was convinced by this crazy thread. I had LenDale as a keeper and just drafted Johnson (7.02). Now the fun begins, is anyone here starting the kid over LenDale?

Yeah, but Chris Brown shredded the Jax D last year during week 1 so anything can happen. I didn't want to have to start CJ until I saw how he fared the first few weeks, but unless Ryan Grant starts practicing I may go with CJ this week. It is either him or Lendale, and I am thinking about just going for broke with CJ b/c he has greater upside than Lendale (i.e. can break a long TD anytime he touches the ball). Plus, if Tenn gets behind Lendale is going to get pulled for passing situations and CJ should be able to rack up some points on dump offs.

I haven't really considered it. I am starting Westbrook and Bush with some deliberation between jacobs and cotch for my flex. Johnson is stashed until a trend unfolds with him, good or bad.

With McGahee probably not playing...I'm leaning Turner and Young. But I really want to get Johnson in there. Undecided as of now.

Graham vs C. Johnson...?

I'm kind of torn. Was actually considering it, but then I read in the Tampa Tribune that it looks like the Bucs could put Bennett on the inactive list while they carry 2 FB's and 3 TE's. That means only Graham and Dunn are the RB options.

At this point I'm leaning Graham...
