Who is Starting Matthew Stafford on Thanksgiving? (1 Viewer)

Many people drafted Stafford as a an early round pick thinking he would be a top 4 quarterback. He has player well, but not great. For leagues that penalize for turnovers, he has been rather disappointing.

Who that owns Stafford is sticking with him, regardless of who their other option is at qb this week?

Texans CB Jonathan Joseph is out with a hammy problem. Is that enough to keep you sticking with Stafford against

a very tough Texans defense that let the Jaguars and Chad Henne have a great passing day this past Sunday?

If not, who are you starting instead of Stafford today?

Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy the games today.

I have the same decision. As a Stafford owner the last two years I am pretty sure how this is going to play out.

-Stafford will struggle in the frist quarter and the Lions will try to establish a running game early on.

-Houston rarely gets the national spotlight and will be very up for this game and very agressive to quiet the crtics who are questioning how good of a defense they are after getting lit up by the Jags last week

-Lions will be behind in the 2nd and Stafford will open up the offense and maybe get a TD or two while also throwing a pic.

-Houston 31 Detroit 20

Stafford 275 yds, 1 TD , 2 Int's

That's how I envision the game.

I was starting to lean towards Kapernick over Stafford but with the news that Joseph is out again i'm probably leaning slightly towards Stafford again. I'm sure the QB I do not choose will have the better game.

I'm starting him over Freeman in two leagues. If ever he was to earn his late first/early second round draft position, this is the week to do it.
That is sort of my thinking. I am giving him the nod over Andy Dalton who has a very good match up vs. the Raiders. Sort of a coin toss decision where I have both projected close to each other. Might as well go with the more established one of the two that I drafted as my must start stud. Otherwise, why did I draft him, right?

Starting him over romo, it doesn't matter how bad Washington defense is these 2 teams know each other to well and cowboys o line is horrendous

285 yds and 2td's is about what I expect today..

If you got a QB that you think does more then that start um.

I have Freeman in a League with Stafford and I'm trottin out the Staf Infection!

I'm not going to be surprised if the Lions outright win this game, not to mention Stafford having a good game. Difficult to play an emotional 5 quarter game, win it at the end, and be ready to play 4 days later. I think the Lions having lost last week and looking to rebound are more likely to be focused than the Texans are as a result. Then throw in Joseph being out, yes, I'd start Stafford unless I had some great other options.

A big key to the game may be how much pressure Houston can get from their OLBs. They haven't been as effective this year which has led to Houston leading the league in percentage of plays they blitz. If they can get consistent pressure without needing to do that, it'll help on the back end being able to double up Calvin. I'm not sure that's going to happen though, even with the rookie tackle for Detroit playing.

Had Kaepernick in over Stafford. Then I heard the news about Joseph and put Stafford back in. Then I remembered how much I hate Stafford this year and how high I am on Kaepernick and put K back in...

Benching him for Kaep (even though per this morning's news it isn't set in stone that Kaep will start?)

Thought I had a great start with Stafford until Romo and NE D went off on me .. start looking to next year now that the playoffs have been snatched from me :boxing:
