Dirk getting disrespected in this project. That 2011 playoff run was an all-time gauntlet. 16-5 while beating three guys rated higher on this list (LeBron, Kobe, Durant), not to mention a handful of guys that will show up later. I would have had him at number 20.

I like Giannis here. He matched Dirk's greatest feat (impressive playoff run to a championship and a Finals MVP) and threw in an extra league MVP and a DPOY on top of it.

Dirk is pretty high on the all-time scoring list, but that is really the only feather in his cap above Giannis. Giannis already has more 1st team all-NBA awards (5-4). Dirk landed 4 more total, but the rest were 2nd/3rd team selections. Giannis also has 5x All-Def selections (4x 1st team).

Their games are entirely different, but I don't know anyone that wouldn't take Giannis over Dirk for their team and in 10 years, he's already accomplished enough to be here. I have him and Jokic as near equals on this list.

Good points here. Peak Giannis is/was better than Dirk because Dirk was an atrocious defender and Giannis is maybe the best in the league. Those early 2000s Mavs teams had such a clear ceiling because Nash and Dirk couldn't defend anybody. But I did give my vote to Dirk here based on longevity. By the end of Giannis's career I don't expect this to be a close call.

Not sure you've watched much of Giannis if that's your take. I mean, that's a somewhat decent take on part of his game, but to say he's not fun to watch or that that's all he does...
