Who is the most likely to stay healthy / get injured this year? (1 Viewer)

My guess is this thread gets locked. In the Shark Pool we don't speculate on who we think will get injured, it's in poor taste and leads to flame/piss wars.

:goodposting:

Surprising..since injuries can make or break a fantasy team. At least a discussion of past durability can't be all bad.

FYI...Gore has turf toe by week 5 :stirspot:

An injury can happen to anyone at any time, however, the more times you get hit, the more likely you are to get injured. With that said, my order would look like this, in order of most likely.

Marion Barber - The Cowboys will probably limit his touches for this very reason, but the guys break so many tackles, he seems to get hit two, three times every time he touches the ball.

Marshawn Lynch - As a Bills fan, i am glad to see Fred Jackson come on last year to be a nice change of pace back. Like Barber, Lynch runs extremely hard and seems to get hit multiple times on every carry.

Frank Gore - Has a bit of injury history, and as the only real offensive weapon, the 49ers will probbly use him early and often. He doesnt seem to get involved in as many violent collisions the previous two RB's do, but he will take his fair share of hits just on the amount of touches he gets.

Clinton Portis - Like Gore, he doesnt really seek out contact, but unlike Gore, the Skins have other weapons, and wont have to rely so much on him.

Barber is the only one who really scares me when it comes to injury. I dont think he gets near 300 touches without getting hurt.

No offense, but why did you make 2 threads today asking about the same group of RBs? I think you will have more success with this in the Assistant Coach forum.

I had a dream last night:

Gore broke his forearm

Portis was plagued with turf toe all season

Barber missed time with concussions

Lynch led the NFL in rushing

Feel free to use this "analysis" in your prep.

For not being able to predict injury, I think this post does a GREAT job of laying out the odds. My immediate thought was these 4 in exactly this order.

Sorry..thoght the other thread was locked. Does that answer your question?
Your question will be bettered answered in the ACF.
Maybe so but I enjoyed Burning's post. Good insightful info IMHO.

Who is the most likely to stay healthy / get injured this year?, Gore, Barber, Portis, or Lynch?

Let's break out the tarot cards.
