Frank Gore 1,491

Tiki Barber 1,357

Steven Jackson 1,236

Brian Westbrook 1,092

Yards from scrimmage

Steven Jackson 1,916

Frank Gore 1,909

Tiki Barber 1,786

Brian Westbrook 1,756

Frank Gore 5.5

Brian Westbrook 5.1

Tiki Barber 4.7

I say Gore, Westbrook, and Jackson should have made it, with Barber being the odd man out.

All four RBs are close enough to each other in all the categories EXCEPT Touchdowns.

Which are kind of the most important.

This is a way to say goodbye to Tiki, and I don't really have a big problem with that, because the Pro Bowl (and most all star games) are a joke anyhow.

Except that the HoF committee cares about it a LOT

Westbrook should have made it, he carried that team after McNabb went down, and was playing awesome before McNabb got hurt also.

Tiki has been very good, but he's got to go because of the TD gap between him and westbrook. They are very similar in yards from scrimmage and Westbrook has a better YPC. The 11 to 2 TD differential makes up my mind for Westbrook over Tiki

Barber should have been out. Jackson should have had maybe 2-3 more td's but the Rams for some reason like to throw inside the 3 yardline. The pro-bowl does have implications for HOF status and it also has incentives for contracts bonuses. I know I wasn't the only one that heard this on Sportscenter but Julius Peppers has in his contract that he receives a $1MM bonus for making the Probowl. It also says that if he makes it 3 years in a row the bonus is tripled so guess what he made $3MM by making his third probowl appearance in a row.

It's almost a toss-up. Comparing all 4 RBs by the stats listed, I would probably throw out Tiki becuase he is in the lower two of 3/4 of those lists. Seeing he plays for a New York franchise and has a reputation of being a top back, I'm not shocked by his inclusion.

Barber has ZERO business being in the Pro Bowl. His TD numbers are putrid.

Gore has CARRIED the offense for San Fran, and the same can be said for Westbrook/Jackson to a lesser extent.

It's a popularity contest - and Barber is the advertising agency's darling.

The 'average NFL fan' wouldn't be able to pick out Westbrook or Gore's face from a lineup of NFL running backs, whereas Jackson's dred would give him away, and Tiki is a Tiki God....

TO was 2nd in fan voting and did not make it to the pro bowl. With that said, I would probably guess tiki was 1-2 in player voting. Every game Tiki seems to have 10 best friends on the other team and there is no way they werent voting for him, especially knowing this is his last season

I hate the Pro Bowl selection process and I hate even more that Pro Bowl selections are used as criteria to analyze Hall of Fame credentials.

It's not like the Giants haven't benn scoring the TD's, just that they have a goal line back so Jacobs grabs the TD's. I think that the player's role on the team plays a big part in the Pro Bowl seclection and Tiki is a big part of the team in performance and leadership. If the Giants haven't been scoring TD's that would be one thing, but just because they put Jacobs in for the final 2 yards doesn't mean Tiki isn't a pro bowl performer.

They used Jacobs last year too. Please explain the discrepancy in Tiki's scoring between this year and last.
