Who will be the big waiver wire pickup? (1 Viewer)

I like Michael Clayton WR of Tampa Bay as a possible sleeper.
 Putting in a waiver claim on him. i hope he is available.
Clayton has the potential to put up numbers this year for whoever can get him. I took a risk drafing Galloway considering his preseason health issues, but due to a bye week brain cramp on draft day, I was lucky enough to get Clayton off the wire before the start of the season. He will get plenty of PT this year due to the lack of depth at the WR position in Tampa, so his value has risen. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he does put up the numbers. Considering I lost Smith last night, I still need to find a decent WR off the wire, if only to fill in a bye week.Good luck to all in their respective leagues.Dave

I think Muhammed will struggle as a #1...I'm going after Proehl in all my leagues.  He was getting a ton of targets from Delhomme in preseason and had some nice catches tonight.
Yeah, 'cause Muhsin has never been a #1 nor has he proven that he can produce in the NFL.
yeh, cuz maybe you have no idea what you are talking about......it was only a few short years ago that muhsin put up 96 grabs for 1250 and 102 for 1180 in back to back years....not to mention 14 TDs over that span also(99 and 2000 season).....he suffered through injuries most of the next year(2001) only playing in 11 games, and didn't play a full season the following year either(14 games, but still put up over 800 yards). so......don't tell me he can't be a #1 WR for his team.......i thought this was the shark board....
Yes, this is the Shark board, and I think you failed to recognice madcow's post for what it was: Sharkasm...
LOL!!Yeah, I have to chime in a third in agreement here, btmack316.
Sharkasm..nice one. Just have to make a point of clarification. If Mushy was available in any of my leagues I'd go after him in a second, especially before Proehl or Colbert. That being said, I am 100% sure he will struggle as the teams #1 receiver. If I'm wrong, well then slap me around, call me George Jefferson and send me packing!

HELP: WW is running tonight and need to fill 2 WR spots due to Smith and Rogers injury. So in a 12 team league where we start 3 WR/TE's, .1 pt for 1 yrd and .25 per ec., plus 6 pts a TD would you REALLY consider grabbing Gates? Guys left on the wire is pretty much the same as whats been posted in this thread and only Gonzo, Heap, Shockey and Winslow for TE's are taken. Should I snag GATES?!?!?!

Depends on the depth out there as alternatives. Go look at projections and if you see any really solid WR's go for it or else Gates even in a non TE manditory league (especially with reception bonuses) would be viable IMO. I'd get a Terrell type first though if he's out there.

My WW consists of Patten NEGabriel OAKClayton/Lee TBBryant DALColbert CARC Wilson (but ive committed to Lloyd already and don't like dorsey driving the bus)B Johnson AZK Johnson BALWatts DENI went w/ 4 rbs in the first 4 rounds, so now's when i need to find a couple wrs that will surprise - along with the rest of you reading this thread. Not a who do i pick up here. but if you see someone above that will possibly take off (step up for joe) tell us why. I'm at a loss and leaning towards Patten now with all the passing in NE. The TB guys are risky due to age and O problems in TB.I did grab Bryant in another league with Vinny tossing the ball around like that.Gabriel most looks like the A Bryant story here. And Gannon (or Collins) may toss the ball downfield to get the #s close.Side note, I took a chance on E Johnson in the last round hoping for a surprise and 8 catches in week one was beautiful in a TE manditory legague.

Rashard Lee

Doug Gabriel

Tai Streets
 Nice call on Lee two days before he suited up.....
Hehe I picked up Lee over a week ago in my MOX2 and Legends dynasty leagues. Too bad I didn't spot this thread before yesterday's game although I did pimp him in this shorter one:http://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index...opic=103670&hl=

ReShard Lee has a real chance here IMO.

With Anderson now hurt, Julius still in the doghouse, and George having been benched I really can see Lee emerge as the power guy while Julius and Anderson handle the speed roles. In today's press it seems the Cowboys were shopping George to the Dolphins so they do appear willing to carry on without him.
Please explain to me how a running back that rushes 4 times for 31 yards merits consideration as a pickup this week. You guys must really be hurting at running back to be grabbing this deep for straws. Don't you even think that the ONLY reason that Lee sniffed the field that week was because Jones was inactive?I get physically ill reading asinine posts like this. It makes little or no sense....
Bump to see who is ill today.....

Thanks Hurons lol. I mean, you never know who's going to get hurt but this just might get interesting. Lee had 2 runs of about 10 yards each called back on penalties which also stalled drives where he was the featured RB. I wonder what his numbers would have looked like otherwise. I bet a whole lot more people are picking up Lee this week now lol :P
