Reid. He's under contract through 2013. I think he has until then to at least get back to a Super Bowl. If not, I think all bets are off and they have a new coach in 2014. 15 years would be long enough.

Banner said all in and if he doesnt get in this season without a good excuse (is there one?) I don't think he'll be back. With the "leaders" the team has now they'll need new blood coaching this team next season IMO.

I'd go with Other for the vote and hope for a young, hungry, up and coming coach like Reid once was.

This, but honestly think it will be Reid again no matter what. Also, don't understand all the love for Gruden. What has he done to deserve this? One super bowl with a team he inherited against the team he coached the year before so he knew them inside and out. Then took that same team and led them to 7 and 5 win season the next two years. How is he the savior?

Personally I'd prefer 'other', but realistically I think Reid will allowed to finish out his contract. I think Castillo will be another fall guy like McDermott was last year, but this time I really hope they go outside of Reid's "circle of comfort" and bring in an outside voice. The last 2 coordinator hires have been promotions from within. Andy's guys. Hasn't worked, they need a new voice on the sidelines.

You guys really think Reid will be back if THIS team doesn't even make the playoffs? That's surprising.

Who said they won't make the playoffs?
At 3-5 and 3 games behind the Giants and Detroit sitting at 6-2 for the wild card lead, I think it's greater than 90% that they don't make the playoffs. Even if they go 6-2, a 9-7 record probably won't get it done. I think saying that this team will go 7-1 is being way too optimistic.

I think for him to be fired after this year, the team has to quit on him. Its possible they do. DRC was already seen on the sidelines in a 'discussion' with his DC. So far Reid hasn't lost the locker room. If they are 7-9, 8-8 I think he's back. 4-12, not so much.So far, the Eagles without Jim Johnson haven't been very impressive.

though I don't even think the leash is that short.

The team has underachieved 3 straight years. Assuming they miss the playoffs this year, they will have 3 playoff wins in the last 7 years. Too much talent not to do better. Eventually the leash runs out.

Andy Reid has a good relationship with Lurie. His demise has been predicted several times. I would be very surprised if he's not the eagles coach at least for the life of his deal if not longer.

Well, he was certainly hungry

Lurie has always said that Reid is his coach for as long as he wants to be. Of course he can go back on that, but I'll be surprised. If anything, Reid will publicly step down on his own accord, but maybe behind the scenes his hand will be forced. This is all just my opinion.

For the people still voting for Andy, is it because like me you think Laurie/Banner are just going to let him finish out his current contract (2 more seasons) or do you honestly believe he deserves more time?

I'm just curious to see how people can defend him as some irreplaceable coach who's firing would be unthinkable.

The owner loves him. They love how well the coach works with the front office. They like the stability and feel that based on his W/L record that he is one of the best coaches in football. They also know the players love playing for him and one of the reasons they have been able to attract talent is because people want to play for him. I'm not saying they are right but that's how they are thinking. I think it would take a locker room colapse for Reid not to be back next year.

People wanting Reid fired are nuts. What's the liklihood of getting a better guy that him? Cowher didn't get fired in Pittsburgh and he failed in the playoffs year after year. Steeler fans had it right though.

Reid sucks and likes to ignore his best player and put the game in the hands of a crap qb. Fire him.

Sometimes a change of faces at the HC position make a big difference. Tony Dungy had that impact in Indy, and ironically Gruden the same with the Bucs where Tony left.

No chance Reid is fired. Welcome to the ups and downs most other teams experience, Philly.

Blame your organization for signing Vick to a big deal, he blows.

The good news is Kolb isn't the answer either so at least he's gone.

That was Reid's call. Its all Reid's call, from the players to the coaches to the game plan. Lay the blame wherever you want, its all on the same guy. And this team has taken a step back in each of the last 3 years. But I'm sure year number 14 will be better; after all, that's how long it took Cower to finally win.

I am surprised no one has mentioned Jeff Fisher. I believe he was a secondary coach for Philly when Buddy Ryan was head coach so there are ties to the organization. He would bring more of a defensive minded philosophy to a team which really needs improved defensive play. It would seem like his coaching philosophy would work well in the NFC East too - emphasis on defense and a strong running game.

Fisher was actually the defensive coordinator, almost became their head coach but Kotite got it instead. Good call.
