I like these players, but I think the matchups will help provide a nice week 1.

I'm expecting Detroit to beat up on Tampa Bay and Seattle's looked terrible. Wouldn't be surprised if Detroit and San Francisco each score over 30. I think each of these guys can catch a td on 5 receptions and over 80 yards.

Its going to take SF 3 weeks this year to score 30 points. Sorry Bob.I'll go with Josh Morgan as my week 1 ww pickup dude. No TDs, but yards.

I'll say Josh Cribbs or Brian Robiskie. Cleveland should beat up on Cincinnati and one or both of these guys should have a good game. I'm not saying they'll be good all year but I wouldn't be surprised if they put up impressive numbers in week 1. Greg Little was drafted in both of my leagues.

Good post. I'm in some pretty deep dynasty leagues with 23+ guys rostered and Mo Mass, Cribbs and Robiskie are all out on the WW. I suspect at least one of the 3 will have a big game against the Bengals and will become a hot waiver commodity. Some vet #3 WRs could end up having big PPR weeks and become pickup candidates. Guys like Derrick Mason, Patrick Crayton, Deion Branch, Earl Bennett, Harry Douglas, Jordan Shipley, etc.

FYI, Gibson is owned in 16% of CBS leagues and started in 0%. A great value pick IMO.

I play in a very deep league - 10 teams, 20 man rosters - consisting of very astute owners, and no one drafted Gibson. Of course, we drafted three weeks ago, so one or two weeks later, and he would have been on someone's roster.

Funny how no one talks about this guy. He's the third receiver on the team with only Gaffney and SMoss ahead of him for targets. He's the only real vertical threat on the team outside of Moss (who has lost a step or two anyway) and had over 850 yards last year as a rookie and averaged almost 20 ypr. Yet no one talks about him, the staff here hates him, and the rate my team app just recommended I drop him in a 14-team league.Grossman is starting week 1 against the Giants who have had some pretty major injuries on defense, and he loved chucking the ball to Berrian when he was doing well with the Bears (granted 5 years ago). When Grossman started last year he went 5-100, 2-15, and 2-84 & TD. All in all 6 games with over 80 yards receiving.

Not to mention that he seemed to e in good sync with grossman last year. Now that he is starting I wouldn't be suprised at all to see 100+ and a touch on 4-5 catches.

I just get a feeling that Pitt is gonna spread it out vs BALT trying to copy the packers blue print a bit, trying to neutralize their DL/run defense.

I'm in a fairly deep 16 teamer. The guys that are still out there that could hold value are Eric Decker, Cecil Shorts/Jason Hill, and David Nelson. I'm also sitting on Harry Douglas/Andre Roberts/Denarius Moore. I'm sure that a couple of these guys will pop. Decker seems to me the best value on my WW at the moment.

Came to post this. Benn is the starter going into the season so in most deep leagues I'd imagine he's already rostered. Briscoe on the other hand is mostly unknown commodity for guppies, so he could be a nice waiver pickup depending on how the game goes.

Wow. I'm pretty surprised to see all this love for Gibson. Up until this thread I've hardly seen his name mentioned. I do agree he's a great sleeper candidate in PPR leagues, and he'll have a little extra incentive this week as the Eagles are the team that drafted him. I also like Armstrong and Roberts.

This isn't Martz first year in Chicago. Every other WR on the roster has been in the doghouse in the past year. At some point, Sanzenbacher will get a chance in the slot. When he does, I'm betting that he will be catching those passes.

Might not be the WR to pick up after week 1, but if your in a deep league (for all the knuckleheads that chastise us shallow league guys) he might be your PPR gold.

Do yourself a favor fellas, google up "Dane Sanzenbacher" and just look at the first 10 threads it pulls in. You'll start thinking hard about it.

I'm only basing this on him looking amazing at Texas, but I think Shipley could be in a real good spot in PPR leagues if he clicks with Dalton. Green should command doubles and who knows if the rook is good enough to beat them, but it should free up Ship to be 1-on-1 in the slot and end up being Dalton's security blanket.

Considering dropping L.Moore for him in 14-team .5ppr league just in case he has a big week 1 (I know Moore won't ...).

Luke McCown. Guy had some bad starts as a rookie for the Browns in 2004, but then had some pretty good games for the Bucs in 2007 completing over 67% of his passes in a decent 3 game stretch. He was always in the mix after that, but has never got his shot. I expect him to run with it and potentially hold off the rookie this year. We'll see

Not many giving OAK Hagan love in this thread, but I've picked him up in a dynasty and a redraft league over the past couple of weeks - he seems very simpatico with Campbell and somebody on that team actually has to CATCH the football rather than run really fast downfield and drop it (Darrius Heyward-Bey's MO).

Hagan may be starting soon (I know he's not even listed on the unofficial depth chart at Raiders.com, but I think he's got a legit shot at it none-the-less).

He has the quickness and knack to get open underneath and he's got a offense and quarterback to work with. You tube this kid and you will see. I love his toughness and his route running.

Hagan - I'm sold on the comments above, I saw him vs the Saints and he was terrific. Problem there is he did not succeed in Miami or NYG for some reason (why?) plus the WR situation is so crowded in OAK (and Louis Murphy will be returning maybe week 3). Same goes for Moore though on that last point.

ETA: Jordy Nelson: at the three leagues I have looked at, none of which have opened waivers/adds yet, he is not available, drafted in all three..... but I see he is owned in only 56% of CBS leagues so I think he does belong on here.

ETA: maybe Greg Salas belongs on here too.

Somewhere there is a Tampa Mike Williams out there, question is where. Cobb might fit that profile, just not sure there.

The average non-dynasty 12-team league has 14-16 roster spots per team, which means that 168-192 players get drafted. So yes, I would say that a league with 200 players is "very deep".
