I like LJ Smith much more. With Owens gone, McNabb is going to need a safety valve outside of Westbrook, and I see LJ as that guy. I'm not sold on Reggie Brown quite yet.

As for Watson, I think he'll put up good numbers, but you also have Graham there, and Brady likes to spread it around.

new england has graham and also drafted mills and thomas . the pats seem to throw redzone with matchups, not a particular player. and tend to change up who alot so no "go to guy" for defenses to target . watson is a better tight end in "real" football but is not a good "fantasy" situation compared to ljsmit imo .

The Patriots spread the ball around and use way too many TE's to be able to have any faith in one particular TE. Graham, Watson, Mills, Thomas...Vrabel? No thanks. I'll take LJ any day over Watson. While the Eagles also like to spread the ball around, I see LJ more as a 'go to' guy than Watson. He's one of the more sure-handed receivers they'll have and really won't have as many problems with other TE's taking #'s away from him. All of this being said, I wouldn't want either of them as my #1 TE. However, both of them will be very good #2 TEs, with the possibilty of Smith breaking out into a must start #1 TE. I don't see that possibilty with Watson.

This is good, up until the part where he wouldn't want LJ as his starter. I'd be fine with that.

A big unknown stat that people might not be aware of.

Last year's leader in goal line targets for a TE was LJ Smith. Don't Discount those 1 yard touchdown passes.... now with TO out of the picture McNabb will be looking for LJ for in the endzone even more.

Don't be surprised to see a big increase in LJ's TD totals... and see him posting 7-8 TD this year in the Eagles pass heavy offence.
