I think LJ is top 5, he will continue to get the ball 20 plus times a game and the offence is built around him. Next year the line will be better and LT, Addai, Jackson and Peterson are the only ones who I would want more.trade for LJ, or keep LJ.The real question is where do you rank either in a dynasty? Are they still top 5? I'm thinking not, with LT, Westbrook, AD, Addai and SJAx.At this point, I'm not sure I'd take either over Portis, FWP, Bush, MJD, KJones, McGahee, Jacobs, or even Lynch. Probably over the last 4, but they're close.
what makes you say this?Weigman is 34, Wellbourn 31, Turley is 32, Waters is 30, the others aren't impressive.I think LJ is top 5, he will continue to get the ball 20 plus times a game and the offence is built around him. Wiegmann, Turley (and Terry) and Welbourne could be 25 - it doesn't matter because they're the WORST players on the entire OL. It remains to be seen what KC will do with its OL, but I'd be very surprised if it's not better. A free agent guard and a decent center (somehow) would go a LONGGGGGGGG way to fixing what's wrong, which (in run blocking) is the guys inside getting owned on every down. Draft Michael Oher at #1, move McIntosh to RT, sign Ryan Lilja and somehow get the center (this is the area I am concerned about) and all of a sudden you're looking at a fine line which LJ could hammer out 1500+ behind.-OZ- said:what makes you say this?Weigman is 34, Wellbourn 31, Turley is 32, Waters is 30, the others aren't impressive.I think LJ is top 5, he will continue to get the ball 20 plus times a game and the offence is built around him. In his day, Weigmann was pretty darn good. Now, you're right. But there aren't any better players on the team currently, and FA isn't the way to develop a line. Draft picks take awhile to develop (usually). I can see KC concentrating on fixing the OL this year, but that seems more hopeful than something to base a ranking on.Wiegmann, Turley (and Terry) and Welbourne could be 25 - it doesn't matter because they're the WORST players on the entire OL. not to be an ####, but I love this logic. The only people NOT getting closer to 30 are already past it.I would say Gore because he has more upside. LJ is getting closer to 30 all the time, and now may have a broken bone in his foot. His situation reminds me a lot of Alexanders--a guy who had a huge season, then injury, and decline as he ages, and a whose greatest production was at least in part a product of the system and OL. Gore is having a down year but I like his youth and his upside; SF will recover and then so will he.
If LJ has a broken bone in his foot I am worried; and I am worried that the team won't announce the exact nature of the injury.
