Who's Kool-Aid are you drinking? (1 Viewer)

travis henry.

before being losing time to McGahee and then being forgetten about in Tenn, Henry rushed for over 1350 yds and had double-digit TDs in back-to-back years.

He hasn't had 300 carries since so his mileage is not like that of other 6/7 year RBs. He'll be running in Denver with a young QB who looks like he knows how to spread the ball around, which will keep D's balanced.

My only concerns are health, hasn't put in 15+ starts since 2003, and I've read he's still getting acclimated to the thin air in Denver, could hit the wall later in the year? Both are a reach. every body gets hurt and oxygen tank do wonders, but I'm trying to be objective.

Overall, I think Henry will put in a top 10 fantasy year easy.

310/1364/4.3/11 26/162/6.2/1

Roethlesberger--he'll chuck it a bunch this year. Ward is ward, Miller is above average and improving. Holmes is an EXCELLENT fit as a deep threat. Parker is nice out of the backfield. And Big Ben should have something to prove this season.

Roy Williams--nobody is sleeping on him but he'll be top 5. I watched the Bengals and they seemed scared to death by Calvin Johnson and paid WAAAAYY too much attention to him. Williams will benefit greatly

I also am drinking the Henry koolaid, however most concerned about Shanny he has burned many a FF team over the years with his switching of RB's main stream. My concerns about Henry if he starts to fumble at all, he's on the bench, and what role will Bell have, I am concerned Bell could become the goal line back. But of all the first round RB's I think Henry has the most upside after LT and SJAX.

Laurence Maroney - I play in two leagues, I'll keep him in one and probably draft him in the other in the 1st. I have 12th pick so I am hoping he slides to me. I might also snag Brady in both leagues and will definitely be looking at gettin Gostkowski. I figure if you are going to put your eggs in one basket, the 2007 New England Patriots are as good a bet as any. Plus the draft slots work out for me.

;)

QB

Phillip Rivers - With a season under his belt, and a new coach who should open things up at least a little more, Rivers will be a top 10 QB this year, maybe top 5.

RB

Joseph Addai - If i were sitting at the 3 spot in a redraft right now, he would be it. Addai looked better as the season went on last year, and with nobody to split carries with this year, he is in a position to put up monster numbers.

WR

Mark Clayton - Really started putting up good numbers at the end of last year, if Mcnair stays healthy, Clayton WILL have a big year.

TE

Jason Witten - Having a QB not named Bledsoe last year, Witten looked like the Witten that put up 800 yards and 6 TD's in the previous two seasons. Should get back to those numbers, maybe even improve, i think Witten finishes in the top 3 this year.

QB - Big Ben, Romo,Leinart, rivers, though I am actually going out of my way to draft one of the top 6 this year.

RB - Jacobs,AGreen (ppr only), Henry, T.jones

WR - Colston,Walker,Plax,S.Holmes

Te - KW2, Witten

K - Rackers

Def - Dallas & Pitt are my personal targets this season

Not thinking of the obvious studs like some that were mentioned, more of the lines of value players that will surely outperform their ADP. :goodposting:

QB: Losman, Roethlisberger

RB: AGreen(redraft, not dynasty) DeWilliams

WR: Housh, Evans, Cotchery, Hackett

TE: Daniels

Seems like alot of studs being mentioned. ALOT of people are high on Henry...I haven't seen many that don't expect success out of him.

Quarterbacks: Tony Romo/Eli Manning/Phillip Rivers

Running Backs: Clinton Portis--ADP of late 2nd round. I think he can be a first round back this year.

Rudi Johnson--if I'm picking around 10-12 and he falls...I'm happ y

Marion Barber---Late 5th round ADP

Wide Receivers: Larry Fitzgerald, I really think he's the best receiver in the league, early 3rd round, I love him.

Burress--4th round. Expect Giants to pass more, he should get more yards to go with his 10 tds from last year

Braylon Edwards is poised for a big breakout year, in the 6th, great value.

Chambers going right around Edwards, I'd expect him to finish as a top 20 receiver.

Tight End: Todd Heap. I've never been a fan of his, but he's value this year

Crumpler. Mid-Late 8th. Should be a top 5 TE. Harrington sucks, should look for his dump off receiver often.

Andy Hicks is one who is not high on Henry this year. I'd like to hear his reasons for such.

Here is who I'm targetting. If I can get them at their current ADP, I will be estatic!

Terrell Owens

Antonio Gates

Joseph Addai

Tom Brady

TJ Houshmandzadeh

Jerious Norwood

These are the core players.

Now, for later round players with high upside:

DJ Hackett

Kitna

Greg Jennings

Super sleepers:

WR Mike Walker Jags

RB Sammy Morris NE

RB Michael Robinson 49ers

drinking: Reggie Bush, Javon Walker, Leinert, Rivers, Denver D, & Benson.

not drinking: Romo, Jacobs, Gore, Randy Moss & Young

me too. always good to see both sides of the coin.

Clinton Portis

Carson Palmer (DOH.....got him in my dynasty and keeper league)

Kevin Jones (got him late in all PPR leagues....huge upside even if he sits out 6 games)

Looks like I wasn't the only one high on Ced Benson this year. If Leinart continues progressing, I look for Edge to have a huge year as well.

WR

Mark Clayton - Really started putting up good numbers at the end of last year, if Mcnair stays healthy gets hurt, Clayton WILL have a big year.
I actually think McNair hurts Clayton and that passing game.

Boller would and could put up larger passing #'s. Difference is Steve minimizes mistakes and on a championship caliber team, that is what they're looking for.

In a PPR league, all my eggs are in the basket of my vaunted WR/TE corps:

Steve Smith

Terrell Owens

Reggie Brown

DJ Hackett

Muhsin Muhammad

Wes Welker

Chris Cooley

Greg Olsen

Particularly looking for Welker to step it up.

QB: Roeth / Grossman

RB: Benson / A. Green

WR: D. Branch

TE: E. Johnson

K: Mare

D: Packers

I haven't been keeping up with what's happening in Denver. I've actually sworn off all Denver rb's because Shannahan can't seem to pick 1 starter and stick with him. Do you expect Henry to actually grab the starting spot and hold it? I would be interested in him if there are solid indications that he could be the permanent full time #1.

Drinking: Romo, Jones-Drew, Brandon Jacobs, Roy Williams, Vernon Davis, Philly D

Spitting: Kitna, Portis, Boldin, Watson, no defense yet.

It will probably kill me but the Cardinals, I like all of their core fantasy guys at ADP.

Also P. Rivers and Big Ben.

To me, I don't consider it "drinking the kool aid" when the player is projected to be a top player. So the likes of Travis Henry, Housh, etc. don't count.

I'm high on the following lower level guys:

Brandon Jacobs

Santonio Holmes

Jerry Porter

Greg Jennings

To you guys that are drinking the Clinton Portis Kool-Aid. What does that mean?

I think he is undervauled (at roughly ADP 20-22)....so are you saying you agree that he is positioned on the ADP where he belongs or are you saying you are going to take him in the 1st round because you are so high on him? Which is what I think of when it comes to "drinking the kool-aid".
