Can you believe this was removed from the movie? What a crime.
If I watch it, it definitely won’t be Thursday night. I think its 3 hours. I can trim that down to 2 if I record it and watch it over the weekend.I'll be going to Aikido practice and then watching what remains of the Packers/Lions game when I'm done.
Is that where the song "Oh Black Annie bam ba lam" came from?I'm guessing you weren't a fan of black Annie either."Ketamine Dreams said:What is racist is saying that it's OK for a group historically discriminated against can have a pass now and can't be guilty of racism today. It is freaking me out.WN sure knows a lot about the Wizard of Oz and it's several adaptations.
I really know nothing other than both are adaptations from a book. The OP thought they were simply rebooting the movie classic with a black cast. I read the book in school. Didn't everyone? I saw the musical years ago when it came to town.It is freaking me out.WN sure knows a lot about the Wizard of Oz and it's several adaptations.
Still scaring me.I really know nothing other than both are adaptations from a book. The OP thought they were simply rebooting the movie classic with a black cast. I read the book in school. It's all good bro. We're a no judgement forum.I really know nothing other than both are adaptations from a book. The OP thought they were simply rebooting the movie classic with a black cast. That's right! I forgot about that. But is it new songs, or her greatest hits?have at itI would like a Cyndi Lauper musical please.some true colors shinning through on this topic

I "read" Oliver Twist as well. We had to give book reports to make sure we read the book and didn't just watch the movies. I got busted in second three of my book report when I referred to the book as Oliver! and not Oliver Twist. I think we read The Wonder Wizard of Oz in earlier grades because if i had to give a book report on that I'd have screwed up that title as well.Still scaring me.I really know nothing other than both are adaptations from a book. That sounds pretty racist.Monkey slavery. Flying monkey slavery to be specific.Zow said:Wizard of Oz is about white slavery?Ketamine Dreams said:Lol. Maybe they should remake 'Roots' with white people.Leroy Hoard said:I only objected to the part where Dorothy now says "Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Compton anymore."Ketamine Dreams said:I've always felt these kind of shows are racist. People are whining about whites playing Egyptians, yet we get an all black cast for 'The Wizard of Oz'?
Karate Kid...And don't get him started on The Honeymooners remake.I'm guessing you weren't a fan of black Annie either.Ketamine Dreams said:What is racist is saying that it's OK for a group historically discriminated against can have a pass now and can't be guilty of racism today. Good song...not sure where it fits in the story, so i cant say whether removing it was the right decision or not.No accounting for (your) bad taste. After listening to it........YesHere's the song I'm talking about:

The thing that irks me about the Karate Kid reboot is that IT'S NOT KARATE.Karate Kid...And don't get him started on The Honeymooners remake.I'm guessing you weren't a fan of black Annie either.Ketamine Dreams said:What is racist is saying that it's OK for a group historically discriminated against can have a pass now and can't be guilty of racism today. Not nearly as much as you at least. You know nothing, DocHoliday!Musicals suck.
It's a fairly well-known movie. I guess you're trying to make a gay reference? I think that only has to do with the character Dorothy. I know nothing about her except what you see in the movie. Kung Fu? I'm confused. Yes, Kung Fu. Kid moves to China and learns Kung Fu. But they still call the movie the Karate Kid. It's like calling a movie about Formula One racing "NASCAR Dreams."Kung Fu? I'm confused. Lol. Nice.Yes I'm stoked. My kids, less so.Gary Coleman would have been a good Umpa Loompa

starring james DeenWe really need a white version of The Cosby Show
Wonder how many folks in the 70s caught on to Norman Lear's idea that Archie Bunker and his former neighbor George Jefferson were basically the same guy in different circumstances. We really need a white version of The Cosby Show
Are we supposed to be upset because he's Jewish or gay?For those who are whiteraged, does it make you feel any better to know that the screenplay was co-written by Harvey Fierstein?
Not making a gay reference. Trying to be funny. Am also amazed at your knowledge. Most guys on this site are huge football/sports fans. Do you need 2 hands or just 1 to count all the people who care about you?Good god, white rage getting high in here.
I'm not a musical fan. TWOZ is arguably the most famous movie of all time. My "knowledge" is nothing to be amazed about, it's all well known stuff. The only maybe not well known thing I said here was that the mom from What's happening was in the Wiz, but I didn't know that because I like musicals, I knew that because I liked What's Happening. When I saw the movie Malcolm X I thought, holy crap, there's Rog.Not making a gay reference. Trying to be funny. Am also amazed at your knowledge.
