Who's the backup RB to own In Detriot? (1 Viewer)

Coming into this year's fantasy draft, I steered clear of Best because I really didn't think he'd make it through the season. I thought Harrison was the guy to own but he hasn't gotten any type of work so far. I know there is Morris and Kieland Williams but I'm unsure who would take the job if Best were to go down. Detriot's got a great offense and I would like to be holding the backup in case something happens to Best. I know this is pure speculation on my part but is anyone else having a hard time seeing Best making it through the rest of the season unscathed? Bloom said he already thinks Best is "wearing down" and that Best does not seem to fit the roll that Detriot has him in.

I think Harrison would take the role if Best went down, but as a Best owner, I'm not particularly interested in owning any of the backup options. If something happens to him, I'll just look elsewhere for his replacement in my lineup.

I was thinking Harrison would be the guy to own as well but none of these guys seem like the clear cut number 2. I saw keiland Williams has a td on the year but I don't know what to make of it. The Detriot offense is intriguing to me because of how explosive they can be. I just want to be holding the right backup in case something goes wrong.

Lion homer here...

I really don't know.

Harrison- explosive

Morris-experience

Keiland-wild card...

I think we have Back up RB BC....

Here is a clue...look at the WRs that Linehan utilizes....all of them, 3 TEs, 6 WRS and a flex in Logan. Everyone touches the ball.

Only pick up a DET RB2 if you have Best. I say this a Lion's homer and a FFB freak.

peace

It's gotta be Harrison imo. Even if Maurice Morris gets 15+ carries a game, he's sucks to the extent that he still wouldn't have any fantasy value. Keiland can catch the ball well and he's big so maybe he could be a adequate goal line back, but I think his running skills in general are sub-par the NFL standard. Although Harrison isn't really all that talented, we know at least he holds some fantasy value given a full compliment of carries.

So tiering it:

Harrison

Keiland Williams

empty roster spot

Maurice Morris

Best is so good in the open field, but between the tackles not so much. Harrison is the best they have in running between tacles and a decent pass catcher. Williams is purely short yardage. Maurice Morris is why they drafted a RB and why they brought in Harrison the day he was hurt.

It's funny, but I don't feel secure about any of my RBs - so I don't see why Best should be any less likely to make it a full season than any other RB.

Anyway the thing is, no one seems to be able to run behind the Lions' OL so IMO you should grab the guy that's most explosive and would come closest to "replacing" Best. And I think that's pretty clearly Harrison. I own Best in one league and I don't think I'd actually play Harrison if he went down, but having him on my roster lowes my stress level enough that it's worth the investment.

It would be by committe if he went down with Harrison being the back to own. Morris would become a Sproles type and Harrison would be the 1st and 2nd down back.

I'm going to be stubborn and not care about any other factors than this: Harrison has been good when called upon. And he can catch the ball too, he's similar to Best just less explosive. I think he'd be a solid ppr rb2 if thrust into action
