Why do we underrate William Green so much! (1 Viewer)

He is a great value for this year and beyond.

ok. after pondering this i really like the guy.

1. new attitude

2. new coach

3. he actually DID perform when given the opp.

4. hes from my home town

in weeks 11-16 during his rookie year (when he started to get 20+ att.) he averaged:

24.6 att.

103.7 yds.

4.12 y/a

0.7 TDs

weeks 1-7 of soph season:

20.2 carries

80 yds

3.85 y/a

(team is horrible; he gets injured)

from his first 13 real games played as a pro he plays them VERY well. most of them were on a very very bad team.

then he stabs his wife, smokes weed, suspended, injured, etc...has spurts of good plays / doesn't seem to live up to potential (16th overall pick)

now hes better. new coach (no more butch), new system (crennel pound the ball), better supporting cast. i think hes back.

if he gets a chance to take over droughns' spot, i'm calling it -- he DOES.

if he doesn't, he goes another team and plays. could be the next Lamont/Chester....or could be Travis Henry.....your call but i guarantee he is better than his current value.

I drafted him in the last round in a dynasty draft 2 weeks ago.I hope you are right, but as I said in the other thread; the chances of him turning it around are very low.

Guys are you all out of your mind.

Funny to hear that Suggs is untradable , if they could trade Green believe they would but no one wants him.

Cmon , if Droughns gets injured ( it s doubtful ) Green will come in and play as he always did lousy .

I cant believe there is still some Green buyers around . I would pick Davenport as a back up way before Green . In a TD league your even better with Brandon Jacobs .

George Jefferson alias?

I guess we know one more of George Jefferson's aliai now don't we?

I agree he's a good investment in a dynasty league, which is why I have him squirreled away.

George Jefferson alias?
Ha. I already checked before I even saw your post. ;) It appears to be a clean IP address, though.

I do think William Green is underrated and is being unduly overlooked this year. But it's very unlikely to make a difference. His draft position implies about a 0.22% chance of making a fantasy impact this year, but his true chance is more like 1.6%. So, yes, he is way undervalued -- but there's a 98.4% chance that we won't be able to exploit that market inefficiency anyway. ;) (I'm just making up numbers, of course.)

It's kind of like in 2003 when I would tell anyone who would listen not to waste a pick on Marc Boerigter. Some people didn't listen and blew a 15th round pick on him anyway, when they could have drafted some other scrub who wouldn't have made a difference instead.

Ultimately, what you do with your 15th round pick is very unlikely to matter one way or the other.

But to the extent there's a non-zero chance that it will matter, I do think William Green is underrated this year.

:lmao:

I drafted William Green because few RB's late in a draft have his talent. I'm expecting nothing from him since I think he's not very bright or a hard worker. However, on the off chance that Droughns gets injured or he's traded and finally flips the switch in his head about how to make it in the NFL, I think he's worth a shot.
