Why no Offenses in FFL ? (1 Viewer)

Yeah, if only there was a way to harness the production of all of those offensive players . . .

There could be a way. It would be like a defense , but only in reverse. 0-10 points is worth X amount of points, 11-20 is worth X amount and so on. There would have to be a max though.

0-10 is worth 0 points

11-20 is worth 4 points

21-30 is worth 8 points

31-40 is worth 12 points

41-50 is worth 18 points

51+ is worth 22

minus 2 pts for fumbles and INT's.

Why not ? It would make things even more interesting.

I have never seen a reason to use defenses over IDPs. So I'd rather use IDPs, and if you want to add something new use a Head coach. Set number of points for the coach winning his NFL game, and bonus points based on margin of victory.

My main league has used "Team Offense" for the past 10 seasons. It adds something different from most leagues.

You draft 2 NFL offenses and must start one Team Offense every week.

Team Offenses score fantasy points as follows:

Total Yards 0-299 = 0 points

Total Yards 300-399 = 2 points

Total Yards 400-499 = 5 points

Total Yards 500-999 = 10 points

Touchdowns scored by the offense = 1 point each

NFL Team loses/ties their game = 0 points

NFL Team wins their game = 10 points

Offensive Points Only 0-19 = 0 points

Offensive Points Only 20-29 = 2 points

Offensive Points Only 30-39 =5 points

Offensive Points Only 40-49 = 10 points

Offensive Points Only 50-100 = 20 points

The Patriots Offense is currently the 9th highest scoring entity in our league, outscoing all RBs. Only the Cowboys and Colts join the Patriots in the top 30 scorers. On average, a Team Offense scores similar to a good WR 3, and a bit more than a kicker.
