Why No Thursday Game This Week? (1 Viewer)

They typically cut off Thursday games going into week 17. I just think they didnt change anything going into the 17 games season and just said screw it to changing the rotation of Thursday games.
Ya, isn't it a thing where every team plays TNF one time? (I could be totally wrong here).... so having it 16 times would work perfect

Any idea what round Lew should go in?

Hard to say, right? Kareem Hunt was a third rounder, but he had a much longer resume.

He was listed at 195 in high school, and ran a 4.50 as a h.s. Senior. He's around 220 now. I have feeling he's going to have a pretty good RAS - agile, quick, fast, and strong. I don't think I've seen a 3 cone but his shuttle time and vertical were pretty sweet (for the latter I wanna say it was 36.5" or something.) Anyway, I would expect him to do really well at the Combine or Pro Day bc he's an exceptional athlete. Then it just kind of depends if there's a groundswell.

Central has a phenomenal weight training program - Eric Fisher is a guy who filled out in college, gained like 50 pounds. Same thing with the tackle they have now, Bernhard Raimann. 6'7" 305, he was like 250 as a Freshman. He was an exchange student from Austria who only played a year or two of American football before college. KId is gonna be a steal for someone, though he is more on the radar than Nichols so might be a early Day 2 guy.

LN III might be a 4th rounder, or might drop to 6th or 7th. Seems like a pretty solid kid and I don't see anything that will hold him back.

Makes a lot of sense,  also having all the playoff teams going in with the same exact amount of days off.

Blame it on Covid.  Everything is blamed on Covid.

(joking of course - sad I feel i have to actually state it's a joke.  I blame that on Covid too....hahhaa)

At least once, yes.  Because there's multiple Thanksgiving day games there was one pair that did it twice (Cowboys and Saints both on Thanksgiving, then vs. each other the following Thursday).  But yes the goal is everybody has to do the short week only once.

Why no Saturday games?  I would rather watch a bad NFL game over the current slate of college games on New Year's Day. (Actually there are a few decent games but still)

Thank goodness there aren't any Thursday, Saturday, extra Monday Tuesday games. It has been brutal keeping up with the COVID ins and outs.

I think it's just because Saturday is New Years Day and that's when the most/biggest college bowl games are.  If NYD was on Friday then we'd probably have Saturday NFL.

So glad we don't have a Thursday game especially being the final week of the year with Fantasy Championships on the line.

Countless times this year because of injury status or the unkown with covid I have played the wrong guys.  I have too many times where I played a guy on Thursday dud out then the guy on Sunday comes back and goes off or I sit the guy on Thursday to only find that Friday or Saturday covid news out of nowhere to wreck me.

Sure it is fun to have something to watch if your just a NFL fan but more often then not Thursday games are nothing more than a pain for us in fantasy.

I agree. I think college bowl games thur/fri/sat are more likely the primary reason. No edge into week 18 is possibly a secondary reason.
