Why Reggie Bush keep getting injured (1 Viewer)

This would appear to be less likely to produce results on the field then whatever the Saints offseason program consists of.

At least he's working out and pushing himself...that's the important thing I guess. Odd.

No wonder the guy's ripped like a Julienne salad. Too bad he cant work out with his team in the offseason. I'll always feel that a team's best player(s) really need to be around their boys. But to each his own.

Or just maybe the guy ran through hallways and not holes created by that massive O-Line at USC and never took many hits. He deked so many LB's and Secondary guys that he never took a pounding like he does now. Now he has to punch through holes and take a beating from the D-Line. Those linebackers are teeing off on him and the secondary guys can hit too.

I don't want to say the guy is soft because I don't think that is it. I just don't think he has much experience dealing with a pounding of an NFL game. I can't imagine Bush was ever really hit in HS either...

i'm pretty sure that tomlinson used and recommended freflodo to reggie. i don't think anyone would call LT soft.

Yeah, they use the same trainer so they should be the identical players. Particularly in terms of toughness :goodposting:
i'm not suggesting they are the same players. instead, i am suggesting that demeaning the training regimen seems out of place. it doesn't offer any insight into my reggie isn't living up to his hype (whatever the hype is). apparently, LT used it to great effect for many years and recommended it to RB. reggie followed suit. comments like "it's treadmill tricks" wouldn't seem appropriate for LT. i don't see how they are appropriate for reggie either.

Demeaning the training regimen is not a good idea but giving props to the trainer is? Two different guys. So what if they have the same trainer. That trainer does not help a guy take a hit. He helps to get the guy in shape. There are all kinds of guys in great shape that didn't amount to anything in the NFL.

Football is a violent game. RB is the most violent position in the game. Guys who can survive the beating over multiple seasons like Edgerrin James, Clinton Portis, and LaDainian Tomlinson are the exception and not the rule (and even those guys have had injury issues). If you play RB, you're going to get hurt.

Despite what fervent Bush haters like TheFanatic say, Reggie's injuries probably have nothing to do with toughness or being soft. If you get hit the wrong way, you're going to get injured. It doesn't matter who you are. Ask Ronnie Brown, Frank Gore, Deuce McAllister, Fred Taylor, Ahman Green, Terrell Davis, Willis McGahee, Cadillac Williams, Jamal Lewis, or any of the innumerable pro backs who have suffered severe injuries in their career.

Bush plays on turf at home and is a stop-and-cut type of runner. Not very good for your knees.

so basically, you agree with saintfool that the training regimen shouldn't be demeaned on a "guilt by association" linkage with bush's perceived lack of stardom?
