Why sell high? (1 Viewer)

Every year, there is the standard thread about who to "BUY LOW/SELL HIGH" after the first NFL weekend. Without fail, the players included in this discussion our guys that savvy fantasy owners ended up with in spades because they targeted them in their prospective drafts as great value plays. For me this year, that player is Lavernanues Coles. I Simply believed that with better QB play then he has had in two years that he would return to his glory days. I personally had him projected for 92 catches, 1150 yards, and 7 TDS and took him as a mid 6th rounder in a 14 team PPR league. So why after he does exactly what I expected him to do in perfroming really well on Sunday would I try to trade him?

I agree that the Jets will have a decent passing O this year, as long as Pennington stays healthy.

don't expect these kinds of week every week (ten passing D stinks), but 1200/7 isn't out of the question for Coles.

I was kind of wondering this myself. I'm assuming the main reason would be Pennington's inability to stay healthy. The Jets didn't really get anything on the ground. I drafted Coles because I got him at good value and I remember that his best year was with Pennington at QB. If Pennington goes down, I don't have as much faith in Coles.

This past week was an abberation.

The Titans have the worst pass defense on the planet.

Selling high would be a nice option

depending on who you can get in return, of course.

Last 4 years, Coles has averaged 83.5 rcpts and about 1050 yds. As a WR3 option and the fact that i got him in the 8th round...I'll keep him and play the matchups all year. think about who his QBs have been the past 4 years too.
