Why the (heck) do people buy Milky Way candy bars??? (1 Viewer)

Malt sucks.

THERE. I said it.
That's IT!

I used to simply agree to disagree with a lot of what you say.

Now, though, I actively hate you. Like in a "28 Days Later rage virus" sort of way. :hot:

Shunned: Milky Way, Three Musketeers, Mars Bar

Feel free to send me all your kids' Mily Way bars from the Halloween haul in a couple of weeks.  I will put them to good use, ie, eat them.

I use them as a base for a chocolate ice cream I make.  I don't think I've ever eaten one in it's natural form though :oldunsure:

whatchamacallit is my favorite bromigos just love those things and basically anything that reese makes that guy knows his damn candy take that to the bank bromigos

Little known (I think) 3 Musketeers fact:  The candy originally had three pieces in each package - a chocolate, a vanilla and a strawberry.

Does anyone born after the great depression actually enjoy a milky way or 3 musketeers?
Look, if I'm digging through my kids candy sack 10 days after Halloween and the only chocolate in there is a milky way, I'll happily eat it. Personally, I think freezing them gives it a better taste at times.

I remember when it was 3-flavored, but all in one bar is as far back as i go. My favorite by far, and i dont care. I did hard time for lifting em from Mr Gangi's shop when i was 8 and a single bite takes me back to smuggled Playboys & Secret Agent Man on my transistor, so #### ally'all. Wait til your kids tell you strip bacon is crusty hardtack and nowhere near as unctuous & layered as porkbelly chunks. You'll see.

Another terrible candy bar is the Reese 's Fast Break.  Not sure who thought it was a good idea to take an otherwise delicious concept and ruin it with nougat.  Looks like it may have been reformulated, so maybe it's less terrible than the original blue package

I agree with a slightly different take. Get a Snickers or 3 Muskteers instead.
Looks like we are the only 3 Musketeers fans. I think it may be a gender thing, (I'm neutral on Milky Way fwiw)

Best candy is my keto stoner bars -- cocoa powder, stevia, almond butter, and coconut oil laced with marijuana. Tastes great, zero carbs and gets you high as ####.

My rankings of the Mars family of candy bars:

1. Mars Bar (it's like Snickers but way better -- the perfect ratio of nuts to nougat. Also, almond pieces>>>>>>peanut dust)

2. Snickers Almond (this is the re-branded version of the Mars bar. Slightly different recipe but close enough for me)

3. Milky Way (good ratio of caramel and nougat. I like to eat the chocolate sides first and then scrape off the caramel part with my teeth.)

4. Milky Way Dark (same as above although it's kind of a cheap-tasting version of dark chocolate)

5. 3 Musketeers (can't eat a full size bar in one sitting, but the bite size version is the perfect amount of puffy nougat)

6. Snickers (it's not that I don't like peanuts.....it's that I don't like having such a heavy concentration of peanuts that I can't even taste the caramel, nougat, or chocolate)

It's 98% puffed-up, tasteless sugar, surrounded by the thinnest layer of milk chocolate...      Minus the milkyness and chocolateyness.

Other than that, great.

WTF, people? Less Milky Way, more KitKat and Twix... or at least mini Krackel and Mr. Goodbars.
Because a Milky Way a day helps you work, rest and play.

If you have a Trader Joe's around, pick up some of the dark chocolate peanut butter cups. You'll thank/hate me later.

While it certainly isn't the first candy bar I'd go to, I enjoy 3 Muskateers as well.  I'm not really a candy snob.
:goodposting:

I'm not like this with everything, but with candy, I usually just appreciate whatever kind I'm eating and don't find myself wishing it were something else that I liked better.

If you need to scratch that chocolate itch, get serious about it: Lindt’s Lindor chocolate truffles.  They’ve got a store in an outlet mall nearby here in Chicago where you can by ‘em cheap.

Take 5 & Peanut Butter Snickers are tied at the top for me.

-Wish they still made Butterfinger BB's

Reminded me of when I worked for Campbell's Soup and they owned Godiva. They used to sell these giant bags of irregulars in the company store. It was not a good thing for me!
