Wii for kids. What do I need? (1 Viewer)

friend gave me a wii for my young kids (age 6 and 3).

System, one controller, a few games.

What do I need to get?

Extra controllers? Battery chargers? Steering wheel? Do you need multiple wheels for Mario kart? Fun games for kids of that age?

My three year old loves Wii Sports. Definitely get a second controller. Also get the extension for the controller (I think they call them nunchucks).

The controllers run on AA batteries, and they last a surprisingly long time...several weeks with what a would consider moderate play.

The nunchuk plugs into the base of the rectangular controller. It's for your other hand. Not all games need it, but some do.

Definitely want extra steering wheels, numchucks and "Motion Controllers". A balance board if you plan on doing any of the Wii Fit games (ski jumping's pretty fun).Any Super Mario, Mario Kart, wii sports and Sports Resorts games. Just Dance kids (and the Disney version if they're into that) is good to getting moving and grooving.

For an older game system like the Wii, pawn shops are usually great for cheap games and controllers and stuff.

And for dad, are any of the ea sports games any good? Can you get a regular controller to play stuff like rbi and tecmo bowl?
