What’s so funny about all of this is that nobody is saying “the Eagles only won because of that bs call.” The refs got the call wrong — twice. It was helmet to helmet, and he recovered the ball. They were wrong twice, and even the NFL knows it.

But the Eagles D was still crushing the Packers, and the Eagles o-line + Saquon looked pretty darn good. In no way do I think “if not for that god awful call the Packers obviously win the game.”

This is just one of those obvious things I can’t imagine failing to admit. My Eagles fan friends in real life were all like “yeah, that really shouldn’t have been our ball but what can you do?”

Eagles fans can’t help it. What binds Eagles fans together?

1. Inferiority complex vs NY and Boston (as cities)
2. Persecution complex — everyone is out to get them
3. Strong belief the team will always choke
4. Inability to give credit to any other team, particularly if the Eagles beat them or lost to them recently
5. Fan behavior that should be 100% condemned is celebrated by the base if an Eagles fan did the deed

And it pains me because the Eagles (actually all Philly sports teams) have been my jam since age 5. I grew up in GB and will always be a Packer fan for life, but man I’ve always loved the Eagles, Sixers, Phillies, Flyers, even the USFL Philadelphia Stars.

But the attitude and behavior of Philly sports fans is just disgusting.

Eagles fans can’t help it. What binds Eagles fans together?

1. Inferiority complex vs NY and Boston (as cities)
2. Persecution complex — everyone is out to get them
3. Strong belief the team will always choke
4. Inability to give credit to any other team, particularly if the Eagles beat them or lost to them recently
5. Fan behavior that should be 100% condemned is celebrated by the base if an Eagles fan did the deed

And it pains me because the Eagles (actually all Philly sports teams) have been my jam since age 5. I grew up in GB and will always be a Packer fan for life, but man I’ve always loved the Eagles, Sixers, Phillies, Flyers, even the USFL Philadelphia Stars.

But the attitude and behavior of Philly sports fans is just disgusting.
