Heh, I'll bet the only person to vote no is the OP. It has already been established he's going to play this weekend.

Big divisional matchup and a critical game for the Chargers not to fall to an 0-2 start.

I'd be absolutely shocked if he sits, and if he does, I think it's a sign of trouble for his injury. Plus, it's not like they have the luxury of Turner anymore to replace LT.

Before you guys get too proud of yourselves I don't own Sproles and this was posed because of this:

LaDainian Tomlinson (toe) did not practice on Thursday and is in danger of missing Week 2, according to NFL Network's Adam Schefter.

Tomlinson's now missed two straight days of practice, and while he's seemed confident all along that he'll play, he could be listed as questionable on the injury report. LT2 owners need to grab Darren Sproles. The Chargers' team depth chart lists him ahead of rookie Jacob Hester, and Sproles was by far the better back this preseason as both an inside and outside runner. Sep. 11 - 7:23 pm et

:excited:

I voted NO because ... for 2 weeks prior to our draft I swore I wouldn't take him because of the wear and tear.

As soon as I was on the clock with the first pick ... LT.

Always go with your first feeling ... I should have took Peterson.

Does Schefter live inside LT's shoe?

Thu, Sep 11 The Associated Press reports San Diego Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson (toe) says he will practice Friday, Sept. 12, after missing the team's practice Thursday, Sept. 11, with a sprained toe. Tomlinson added, "It's just a sprained toe, that's all. But you try and get as much rest as you can and you have to take it. It's the heat of the season -- you don't really have time. You got games; it's not preseason any more. On Sunday [sept. 14], I think I should be pretty good."
If he doesn't practice today then you can be concerned... he will play, however.

I don't really have a dog in the fight, just wanted to get some board opinions. Then of course a few jokers can't resist using it as an opportunity to bash someone else.

Just curious. if you don't own LT & or Sproles or playing against either guys. Why do you care & start a poll.. Seems a bit odd if you ask me.. I find it hard to believe you don't own one of LT or Sproles or you have to be playing against them to start a poll.. right..

More than one source has stated LT was practicing today. From the Associated Press (via Fanball):

"Chargers: LT will practice Friday

09/11/08 09:10 PM

THE NEWS

For the second consecutive day, LaDainian Tomlinson missed practice due to his sprained right big toe. LT said he was alright and will practice on Friday, according to the AP."

You had concerns over injury and you are going to kick yourself for going LT2 over Peterson? Dont do it to yourself... LT2 was by FAR the safer pick. Peterson's style lends itself to getting hurt imo... while you can never predict injuries, you had to believe LT2 was safer than Peterson - though Peterson is an exceptional talent and the most fun player to watch in the NFL right now.

LT also said he would pactice Thurs......Gee, the best RB in football shouldn't risk injuring his toe more in WEEK 2. The situation appears weird. I think if you have a rb scrub at the bottom of your roster and Sproles is available----GREAT REWARD if LT is done. I don't think you have anything to lose. :kicksrock:

There were already 2-3 threads on this. I think it's cute you like see your name on threads, but maybe we could keep it confined to the FFA forum. TIA.

What does voting have to do with whether he plays or not? :lmao:
It is called speculation. I know it is a difficult concept to understand, but the OP wants to know what other people think in regards to LT starting this weekend. Naturally, we can't decide that for Tomlinson.

I don't agree with this. ADP does not seek contact the way a Barber or Gore does. What makes him such an efective runner is he can do the juke move or lower his shoulder and run over a guy. That makes the LB's and DB's have to think for half a second as to what they want to do - look for the juke move or get ran over by a freight train. I would say he's more a tweener between say a Westbrook/FWP and a Barber/Gore.

LaDainian says he will definitely play Sunday, as he's been saying all week:

Injury update Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson got treatment for his sore right big toe and didn't practice for the second straight day. He said he expects to practice today.

“It felt a lot better than (Wednesday),” Tomlinson said of the toe he hurt on the Chargers' last offensive series in the season-opening loss to Carolina. “Just another day of treatment and rest. It did real good. . . . I'll practice (today).”

Tomlinson reiterated he “definitely” will play Sunday in Denver.

Disagree completely. ADP was clearly the #1 guy to have on your board. I'll probably get mocked for this, but I actually had LT at #4 overall. For some reason, call it a 6th sense if you will, I thought there was a pretty good chance that LT wouldn't make it through this season unscathed. I also took Wayne over Harrison last season for the same reason, and endured much heckling when I made the pick, so I do have a pretty good track record of making these types of calls.

The season is one week old and LT is playing this week. I'm not sure how this makes your prediction true.

It's called a guess. I've read the same post 200+ times over the last 4 years... At some point someone will be right and there will be chest bumping and high fiving on how smart they all were.

I won't

My draft was the Wed before the NFL season started.

14 team league.

ADP went 5th!!!!

1. LT2

2. Brady

3. Westie

4. (my pick that I traded when it got to me, for a 2nd and 3rd rounder) he took Jackson

5. ADP

L.T. listed as questionable: The Chargers released their injury report Friday and had star running back LaDainian Tomlinson listed as questionable for Week 2 at Denver with a toe injury. Tomlinson returned to practice Friday after missing the previous two days, but head coach Norv Turner said Tomlinson took half his usual reps. "I thought there were times he looked tentative and there were times he looked good," Turner said. Tomlinson was encouraged by how the toe was feeling after practice. He thinks he will be considered probable to play by Sunday. "Just by the way I felt today, being able to run and cut and stuff," Tomlinson said. "That's why I think so."

6th sense, non-sense, something like that. And Wayne went before Harrison in every league I was in last year.

I have Sproles, and I think he's the right backup.

I also thin k LT starts this weekend. Does he make it all the way through the game? I dunno. If the game were starting right now, though, based on the info I have, I'd sit Sproles. Just not enough to go on.
