I love these threads. "I JUST GRABBED SPROLES... SOMEONE TELL ME IT WAS A GOOD MOVE!"
Does Schefter live inside LT's shoe? Before you guys get too proud of yourselves I don't own Sproles and this was posed because of this:
LaDainian Tomlinson (toe) did not practice on Thursday and is in danger of missing Week 2, according to NFL Network's Adam Schefter.
Tomlinson's now missed two straight days of practice, and while he's seemed confident all along that he'll play, he could be listed as questionable on the injury report. LT2 owners need to grab Darren Sproles. The Chargers' team depth chart lists him ahead of rookie Jacob Hester, and Sproles was by far the better back this preseason as both an inside and outside runner. Sep. 11 - 7:23 pm et

No doubt he is, but it sounds like speculation and not much more than that. Just my take though. No but he's widely regarded as one of the best sources for scoops in the NFL. Take it or leave it.
If he doesn't practice today then you can be concerned... he will play, however.Thu, Sep 11 The Associated Press reports San Diego Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson (toe) says he will practice Friday, Sept. 12, after missing the team's practice Thursday, Sept. 11, with a sprained toe. Tomlinson added, "It's just a sprained toe, that's all. But you try and get as much rest as you can and you have to take it. It's the heat of the season -- you don't really have time. You got games; it's not preseason any more. On Sunday [sept. 14], I think I should be pretty good."
Just curious. if you don't own LT & or Sproles or playing against either guys. Why do you care & start a poll.. Seems a bit odd if you ask me.. I find it hard to believe you don't own one of LT or Sproles or you have to be playing against them to start a poll.. right..I don't really have a dog in the fight, just wanted to get some board opinions. Then of course a few jokers can't resist using it as an opportunity to bash someone else.
You had concerns over injury and you are going to kick yourself for going LT2 over Peterson? Dont do it to yourself... LT2 was by FAR the safer pick. Peterson's style lends itself to getting hurt imo... while you can never predict injuries, you had to believe LT2 was safer than Peterson - though Peterson is an exceptional talent and the most fun player to watch in the NFL right now.I voted NO because ... for 2 weeks prior to our draft I swore I wouldn't take him because of the wear and tear.As soon as I was on the clock with the first pick ... LT.Always go with your first feeling ... I should have took Peterson.
/threadMore than one source has stated LT was practicing today. From the Associated Press (via Fanball):"Chargers: LT will practice Friday09/11/08 09:10 PMTHE NEWSFor the second consecutive day, LaDainian Tomlinson missed practice due to his sprained right big toe. LT said he was alright and will practice on Friday, according to the AP."
There were already 2-3 threads on this. I think it's cute you like see your name on threads, but maybe we could keep it confined to the FFA forum. TIA.I don't really have a dog in the fight, just wanted to get some board opinions. Then of course a few jokers can't resist using it as an opportunity to bash someone else.
LT also said he would pactice Thurs......
It is called speculation. I know it is a difficult concept to understand, but the OP wants to know what other people think in regards to LT starting this weekend. Naturally, we can't decide that for Tomlinson. What does voting have to do with whether he plays or not?![]()

I don't agree with this. ADP does not seek contact the way a Barber or Gore does. What makes him such an efective runner is he can do the juke move or lower his shoulder and run over a guy. That makes the LB's and DB's have to think for half a second as to what they want to do - look for the juke move or get ran over by a freight train. I would say he's more a tweener between say a Westbrook/FWP and a Barber/Gore.You had concerns over injury and you are going to kick yourself for going LT2 over Peterson? Dont do it to yourself... Injury update Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson got treatment for his sore right big toe and didn't practice for the second straight day. He said he expects to practice today.
“It felt a lot better than (Wednesday),” Tomlinson said of the toe he hurt on the Chargers' last offensive series in the season-opening loss to Carolina. “Just another day of treatment and rest. It did real good. . . . I'll practice (today).”
Tomlinson reiterated he “definitely” will play Sunday in Denver.

Disagree completely. ADP was clearly the #1 guy to have on your board. I'll probably get mocked for this, but I actually had LT at #4 overall. For some reason, call it a 6th sense if you will, I thought there was a pretty good chance that LT wouldn't make it through this season unscathed. I also took Wayne over Harrison last season for the same reason, and endured much heckling when I made the pick, so I do have a pretty good track record of making these types of calls. You had concerns over injury and you are going to kick yourself for going LT2 over Peterson? It's called a guess. I've read the same post 200+ times over the last 4 years... At some point someone will be right and there will be chest bumping and high fiving on how smart they all were. For some reason, call it a 6th sense if you will, I thought there was a pretty good chance that LT wouldn't make it through this season unscathed.

6th sense, non-sense, something like that. And Wayne went before Harrison in every league I was in last year.Disagree completely. ADP was clearly the #1 guy to have on your board.
