Current Vegas Odds at Winning The Super Bowl:1. Green Bay Packers (4.5 to 1)2. New England Patriots (4.5 to 1) :jawdrop: :jawdrop: 3. Detroit Lions (8 to 1)
heard this on the radio today. some off shore sports betting site. I think it's 10 to 1 in vegas. Which is still really :jawdrop: !

I would feel a lot better about their Super Bowl chances if there was a way to upgrade their offensive tackles. The only real glaring weakness on this team. The secondary will not be a problem. In fact, it is one of the better secondaries in the NFL. Along with their great defensive line and vastly improved linebacking core, this is a top 5 defense.

Glad I got 'em at +2500 last month.
You can feel good about seeing your Vegas odds skyrocketing, but in practical terms, they had no real chance a month ago, and they have no real chance now. No running game, no playoff experience, and every skill position player on the team is held together with chewing gum and staples.

They have the 3rd best odds in Vegas but no real chance  Every team (even GB) has weaknesses.

I like how it has turned from no playoff chance to no Super bowl chance now. The Lions have been abysmal for the last 15 years, can we just get excited that thy have a real chance to make the playoffs? Super Bowl, who's talking Super Bowl?

Very happy for the people of Detroit. They aren't in the playoffs yet and they have some hole but everyone has holes.

They are a much better team than the Cardinals and Seahawks teams that made the Super Bowl recently. And if Vegas thinks they have a good shot of winning it, that's good enough for me. I'll take the opinions of the professionals over that of a strangely angry Lions hater.

Weekly bump to see who changed their minds. Come on doubters, just admit it already. You'll feel better once you do.

I didn't vote in this poll, but if I had I would have voted for them to miss the playoffs at 8-8/9-7 or so. A lot of people took that position and it was a reasonable one to take. They are 4-0 but could easily be 2-2 right now, and there aren't many "gimmies" on the remaining schedule. The rest of the way I still see 6-6 or 7-5 as the likely outcome, but with the hot start that should put them in the playoffs. They are looking good with talented young stars and are one of two unbeatens, but I don't think anyone that said around .500 and miss the playoffs should feel stupid yet. (Yes I said yet!!!)

5 Oct 10 CHI @ DET6 Oct 16 SF @ DET 7 Oct 23 ATL @ DET 8 Oct 30 DET @ DEN9 Bye 10 Nov 13 DET @ CHI 11 Nov 20 CAR @ DET 12 Nov 24 GB @ DET 13 Dec 04 DET @ NO 14 Dec 11 MIN @ DET 15 Dec 18 DET @ OAK 16 Dec 24 SD @ DET 17 Jan 01 DET @ GBNot sure I can see them loosing more than 5 of these games. I think they get to Atl unbeaten and that could be a tough one. At home I think they get the W there as well though. Den should be an easy matchup and Det gets a bye before heading to Chi, that should be a big help. I can easily see Det at 10-0 going into the Thanksgiving game vs. GB. The final 6 games all look tough. Det is still getting better though and will get Fairely into the lineup soon.

I should also point out that I spent all last season waiting for Chicago's imminent collapse, and it never really materialized. So maybe I am just stubborn.
