He visted St. Louis today. Saints tom. Fins want em. Panthers gave him an offer and may up the bid depending on what he's offered. He said he'd bring back any offer for the Panthers to match. What do you guys see happening. Thought he'd be gone by now.

I still think Carolina will sign him.

I doubt it. Carolina made him an okay offer, but they don't expect to retain him, and I don't either.

Thomas Davis is taking over for him at SLB.

At this point, I like the Rams to land him.

Wasn't Witherspoon WLB?

I've also heard CIN could be interested. Not sure that LB is their greatest need but 'Spoon would look good on almost any roster.

If I was a Panthers fan I wouldn't worry too much about Witherspoon. Davis can move up or they could draft a speedy LB. I think the DT they signed from the Ravens is gonna be a huge addition... Not to mention maybe Kris Jenkins can stay healthy.

You obviously don't understand the Panthers LB situation if you think this to be true. Morgan is a stud when healthy, but thats just it...he rarely is. Spoon picked up this otherwise mediocre LB crew on his shoulders. I don't understand why people seem so high on Thomas Davis at LB. He was adequate at best in the lineup last season. I know he was a rookie but he was very very raw last year. I would not expect him to suddenly be an awsome starter at WLB this year.

You're underestimating Thomas Davis. He was a rookie last year that got moved back and forth between safety and LB due to injuries. He ended up at safety to start the year and had some issues with coverage. His athletic ability along with a full training camp at WLB will translate into a very effective player.

Agree with above.Yeah, I meant to say WLB. brain lapse.

...you obviously do not understand the Panthers LB situation. The Panthers had Davis play SS out of necessity. Coming into the League, his coverage ability as a DB was seriously questioned. For obvious reasons, the Panthers were not comfortable with 175lb Mike Minter as the their starting SS. Davis was the square peg in the round hole and did not adjust.

He'll be a natural at weakside. It'll be fun to watch his ability to pursue and smack.

Rams signed LB Will Witherspoon to a six-year, $33 million contract, including $15 million in guarantees.

The Rams have three new defensive starters in Witherspoon, DT LaRoi Glover, and S Corey Chavous. Witherspoon, 25, is the only one under 30 and should continue to be a steady IDP presence. Mar. 12 - 4:24 pm et

I like the Witherspoon signing, but the Glover and Chavous signings are earily reminiscent of last year's Claiborne and Coakley inkings. Don't forget...in the process of these signings, they're also losing Archuleta and most likely Pickett. Also, who plays what between Witherspoon and Tinoisomoa?? Does Pisa flip-flop back to the SLB position?? I also can't image the Rams going with Trev Faulk at MLB either.
